Bantry Bay Guesthouse

Awesome change of pace, we stayed here due to a week of mayhem on long street, and thought it would be better to chill for a bit than die! Great house, clean, comfy beds and it feels good to wake up in the morning and walk into a real kitchen and brew a proper coffee. Forces you to explore a different area of Cape town too, which was great, awesome restaurants and bars in this area. The owner was cool, give you plenty of space and advice if you need it.

This place was pretty cool, the staff were very understanding, I fell asleep in my jocks in the lobby one drunken night and guy at the desk, just politely let me be. Champ! Would recommend, there are some cool people here!

Not too bad, staff were cool, don't bring kids here as it is in the red light district, but that also added to a fun atmosphere. Would stay here again.

Pretty cool place, a little hard to find but good none the less, good rooms, good showers, stinking hot in summer, but every hostel is! Staff were cool and the location was pretty good too.

A pretty good hostel, quite big with kitchens etc... had some cool people here. Would recommend it. I did visit some of the other hostels and they all had their pros and cons. all in all pretty good.

It's not bad, there is no real staff, just a little old lady who give you a random key, and asks for a random amount of money. A little out of the way, but was comfy and cheap. Pretty good for plzen.

A good place, very clean, good beds, you had to rent sheets and a towel but the hostel more than made up for it. Would recommend this place.

Clean, not a bad location, if your just after a place to crash, not too bad, the breakfast looked good. Staff were there all night, so that's the main thing. Not a bad place, probably should have rated a little bit higher, zero character though.

I try not to leave negative reviews, but this place was where dreams go to die!

Not a bad Hostel, however all the booking is done manually, pen and paper style, so email (or carrier pidgin) ahead to confirm. There is also a 3 EUR fee on arrival for the cost of them washing their own sheets and the deposit you pay on Hostelworld won't come off the price. But all in all, once you fork over some cash, the rooms and showers are clean and comfortable. The rooms are also really quiet for a place in the middle of old town and its a short walk anywhere. Not a bad place.
