Really big hostel with spacious rooms - but unsociable layout (my bed was tucked away in a corner so I couldn't see anyone else in the room - ok if you just want to sleep, but not the best for making travel buddies). Wifi pretty poor, ok downstairs but more or less useless in room. Bathrooms nice and clean. Can get noisy with crowds in the garden at night. Good bfast selection and great location to the old town. Good activities on offer each day, not v.sociable hostel otherwise good

Good hostel, 5mins walk from the centre. Good cheap dinner special each day and happy hour drinks - bar is very small but was lively a few nights, music does to on until 2am so can be difficulty if you want to sleep early. Bfast basic but ok, wifi works well in bar and ok in rooms. Nice hot shower and clean bathrooms

Great location on granville street, moments away from shops, restaurants and bars!! Ok bfast - bagels, toast, fruit, tea/coffee etc. rooms are clean and have good storage, wifi works well and hostel organises activities each day so good to meet people and keep busy. Kitchen ok, didn't use the TV room, showers not bad. Make sure you book hostels in advance especially. In vancouver things get booked up v.quick

Ok hostel - we had a super small room (some were larger), wifi was good, staff were helpful when asking where to go and what to do, in a strange area of town but easy to get to the central shops etc. by the underground bus, showers good, breakfast was ok - bagels, toast orange, banana and oatmeal, had lots of birds making noise at night but guess that can't be helped. Rooms get warm - bigger fans would be nice!!

Lovely hostel is a super safe part of town. Bus stop, shops, supermarket, bars etc. all v.close but not noisy when you try to sleep. Comfy beds that don't squeak and nice blankets. Shower on the top floor is the best :) wifi works throughout! Bfast is good - cereal, some fruit and croissants w/ tea and coffee. Greeted by friendly receptionist and on my first day the owner JoHn took some of us out on a bike tour (with new bikes) - great English and really nice guy. Would defo stay here again :)

Lovely setting with treat pool and big bar just set back off the beach. Rooms are spacious with en-suites, ok beds, good lockable storage cupboards :) bfast was basic, food is pretty good but can take nearly an hour to come out, bar is fun and something in each night, but it's not as party party as I thought. Good location in mancora near all shops and tour agencies booking trips and buses :) really good Mexican 2mins away ! Defo a great place to stay

Really fun hostel super fun bar staff. It's busy and can have a great night out but dorms aren't too noisy so ok if u need to get up early for a trip :) rooms ok pretty clean beds comfy. Shower so so has been nice and hot but pretty cold too. Bar is good, happy hour 7-10 and food is a nice change from Peruvian restaurants - shepherds pie is the one :) everything is close by. Wifi ok in common areas, not in the rooms, one of the guys at the travel desk is super rude and unhelpful. Fun stay

Nice hostel with really friendly staff who speak good English :) good social and friendly atmosphere. Wifi works well and nice common room and outside areas, also has a kitchen but didn't use it. They also offer a better breakfast than just bread and jam - eggs and banana pancakes too, but unfortunately we missed out as had an early trip to colca canyon. Room was ok, and bathrooms ok too - 3 showers with hot water. 5 minutes from the plaza des armas

Nice hostel with really friendly reception and bar staff. Lovely pool and right on the beach :) rooms were nice but unfortunately we got bed bugs when we were there which obviously ruined our stay - however they didn't ask us to pay for ur two nights accommodation. Wifi is ok. Ur must sit near the routers. Also bfast has eggs which is nice as everywhere else mainly has bread and jam. Although they had no cook when we stayed so not able to purchase any food at other times.

Location ok, staff very helpful with local info.and friendly, but the room is very basic and far from well air conditioned :( had 2 nights stay booked and paid, but left after one as so hot didn't sleep and very uncomfortable, not to mention the air con is only on at night so u can't sit in your room for 5 mins during the day - may be better in not so hot months.

Great location and staff at front desk and travel bit are lovely!! Wifi is pretty good descent at around 6pm when everyone is on it gets a bit slow! Kitchen ok but quite small and gets super busy!! The bar attached is sweet. U get cheaper drink and food deals.. Amazing burritos!! Dorm rooms are sooo dark and u can't sit up in bed on the bottom bunk which is a pain, and the bathrooms need to be cleaned a bit better! Best thing is location!

Nice hostel in good location (wannabe is pretty tiny so it would be hard to be far away)! Room had no window only a ceiling light panel you could open but there was no breeze so pretty stuffy. Clean and spacious enough, lovely kitchen and lots of room to sit and eat/drink! They play a movie every night but the hostel choose which isn't always great :(

Had a crazy little double room shack thing, was clean etc. just a bit odd ;) the dorms looked ok, kitchen was small but clean, free wifi a bit annoying as v.slow and only works by reception so lots of ppl just sitting around making it hard to chill and talk to people

Nice hostel with a pool and hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was ok, all u can eat cereal and toast... Free soup... I have never seen people so desperate for free food. The people that had stayed there for a while took saucepans of soup and piles of bread, leaving most of the others with nothing. Other than that the hostel was pretty cool, free wifi but only near the office, 2 kitchens which was nice and lots of areas to chill out in and ping pong :) a bit far from town but good if u have a car

An ok hostel, but have stayed at better in Kaikoura. The location was a bit set back from the main road which would not have been great if we didn't have a car getting up at 5am for the dolphin swim. Some of the reception staff were a bit miserable, b others were great! Had a rainy day and the TV broke about 4 times and the DVD collection (VHS's) were all crazy fuzzy so not the best! Wifi is also really expensive. Rooms ok and beds pretty comfy, kitchen was ok and outside area nice if sunny :)

Fun and lively hostel if that's what you are after, good social areas and decent kitchen! Only did one of the day trips, was really good but need to stay there for 5+ days to make the most of them and do the ones that appealtp you, and if you want to do some of your own thing as well. Getting a car is a must, so much to see on the island (turtles :) ) and you are a bit isolated... rooms ok not many plug sockets and hot in the day, showers are good but can get quite busy!

Beautiful hotel resort with lovely swimming pool and beach front location. On the main part of the strip surrounded blood restaurants and bars, easy to visit the sand dunes by moped or book a tour. Provided bath and beach/pool towels and good wifi throughout! Breakfast is only free for private rooms - the restaurant was tiny and I don't think served any other food! Not bad if u want the space (it would have been very crowded with 8) but I was hoping to meet people - the reason we stay in dorms!
