Great location for Victoria Station. Even though it's above a pub, I didn't find it too noisy. The set up for the showers was also one of the better ones I've seen, allowing you to keep things dry. It did look like they were in the middle of some renovations. Getting your key deposit back for an early checkout, eg for an early train, could be a slight problem but I it someone good on reception when I checked in.

Comes across as a bit of a hostel for grow ups, except for the no alcohol on the premises policy. Is fairly close to both overground and underground lines. I liked their common room and kitchen set up. The showers on the first two floors seem to be constantly cold water.
The rooms were very small- nowhere near enough room to store the luggage of eight people. They could store it downstairs but would charge you for it. There was also nowhere secure in the room to put things like wallets/handbags etc. The beds had no ladder to the top bunk. Having a shower in the room seems like a good idea in theory but in practice it was a pain and the bathroom on my floor did not have a working shower either. The area was also one where I did not feel particularly safe.
