Hostel ELF

Prague, Czech Republic

Nonexistent hot water in the showers, a little far out from the city centre and understaffed. But a decent sized room and cheap beer in reception!

Bura Surfhouse

Lagos, Portugal

Awesome staff that were very helpful with all our day trip planning and trip to the station :) But no lockers for our bags, no smaller lockers for our passports and no keys for entry into our own room! Our bathroom toilet has a broken seat and the door didnt lock either which was disappointing. Fine for if it was only for one of us but we were a couple without a key or locker between us... A bit far out of the city aswell.

Hey Guys, thanks very much for your feedback, all is appreciated! In response, we deliberately chose to not have bag-sized lockers in the rooms to free up more space. We have plenty of laptop sized lockers and a safe behind reception so I can only apologise if you were not shown these upon arrival - staff have now been reminded to show all new arrivals. The bathroom lock, toilet seat and key shortage were all fixed immediately as soon as we became aware of the problem (the following day). Matt

Hostel One Paralelo

Barcelona, Spain

Nice clean and modern hostel, most of the staff looked fairly baked the whole time and their suggestions for activities were average at best, but we did get help booking tickets and tours. Air con in our room was a massive plus but apart from that the area was a bit dodgey and food options around were pretty average

Hostal Flores

Ibiza, Spain

No air con or fan, no pool, shitty shower and had to pay reception to use the in room safe! The whole San Ant area is a dump and this place just mad it worse - pay the extra for a nice place in San Ant or just go to Playa d'en Bossa - old man at reception did have cheap cold water and was semi helpful some times with his broken english. Room was never turned over

U Hostels

Madrid, Spain

AMAZING HOSTEL - great staff and internal design of the hostel was second to none. Great location near the metro and city centre and airport shuttle. Would stay here again 100%

The hotel staff are horrible and lock the front door when ever they need to leave the desk, meaning even if you have checked in you cant get back into your room!!! The maids open the door without knocking and come in early (9am)!! The rooms arent turned over with new sheets or linen and are VERY dirty, the air conditioning didnt work and the shower design was soo poor you flood the bathroom every time you have a shower. I have stayed in better hostels in Thailand - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Danhostel Copenhagen City

Copenhagen, Denmark

The hostel is very new and the lifts/showers/beds are all brand new which is nice! But the hotel staff were rubbish with suggestions for things to do and made a booking for us a restaurant which kitchen had shut at the time of our booking! No atmosphere at the bar (which was shut) and only wifi in the cafe. Stay at the Other Dan Hostel in downtown for a party or stay at a smaller hostel for a better vibe AND eat out early and make your own bookings

Hostel Utopia

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Small double bed room in the loft of the apartment so a slanted roof on one side - cramped but VERY central, worth paying the extra to stay here and walk the city than paying for trams. 24hr access via seperate door is a plus, but strict on the 2pm check in. Would stay again for an express trip!

Abercorn House Hostel

London, England

Sheets were harsh and the laminate floors make it very hospital like, but clean and modern for a hostel

Colebrooke House

Liverpool, England

nice big double room, close to the city and maccas for a late night feed, no phone number available to call though?

Abercorn House Hostel

London, England

No cooking equipment and sheets like sand paper - apart form that, a good location and decent price

Great Place to stay, close to Moulin Rouge and other attractions, very close to the underground. Staff not the greatest at advice on where to party...

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Awesome common room, loose people

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel

Copenhagen, Denmark

Rooms are tiny! Have to check in at the cafe where staff are very disinterested in anything you have to ask. Expensive beers and food at the cafe too, average place and will probably look elsewhere next time.

EastSeven Berlin Hostel

Berlin, Germany

Great massive rooms, especially the double rooms, sweet kitchen facilities, just no vibe in the common room when we were there...

Hostel was a fair bit out of the city, but it was super clean and super secure with scan passes for every level and room! Food was awesome at the bar and haps of power points and great free wifi! Would stay again!
