Amsterdam Hotelboat

Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Amsterdam Hotelboat is a great option for anyone looking a great location on a budget. Although the rooms are a little small, they are comfortable. There is a common space on the main floor, should you want to spend more time on the boat and in a larger space. Would definitely stay here again. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Your stay includes a great breakfast, coffee and tea throughout the day, and towels (the showers were also nice). The boat was quite clean as well.

Travel Joy Hostels Chelsea

Would recommend this hostel. We stayed in a 12 person dorm. Room was clean and had large lockers. Locks available at the front desk (5£ deposit). Price includes towels, free drinks all day (pop, coffee, etc.), ear plugs, and a great breakfast. Better breakfast than most places I've stayed. Wi-fi is not free (1£/day). The common space also serves as a pub for locals (great way to meet locals). The hostel also hosts open mic nights and bands (cool atmosphere). Great location. Would stay here again

The times hostel is close to the city centre and the airport buses (convenient for early flights!). We stayed in a private double, which was clean and spacious. The room also included a small television. We had a bit of trouble sleeping as our room was located close to the creaky stairs (could hear everyone going up and down) and our mattress was worn. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. The common room was equipped with a kitchen and a dishwasher. The breakfast did not offer very much.

The front desk porter who checked us in was very friendly. She recommended that we check out the light show in the town square, which we didn't know about. She made a great effort to ensure that the kitchen and eating areas were clean. The hostel overall was clean and enjoyable. The kitchen was large and clean, which made it easier to prepare our meals. The common room was great place to hang out. For the price of the hostel, however, a breakfast should have been included.

Youthhostel Bern

Bern, Switzerland

Youth Hostel Bern is very clean, has a comfortable atmosphere, and is very close to the train station and city centre. The complimentary breakfast included a variety of cereals, yogurts, mueslis, cheeses, breads and beverages. The staff was very friendly. The reception opens earlier and closes later than other hostels, making it easier for check-in/out and accessing staff. Would stay here again.
