Eric is just starting up the hostel and is very enthusiastic and doing a great job. He was very helpful with all questions that we had. The hostel is small but very clean and comfortable. There is a kitchen and he supplies a hot pot and coffee and tea. The water is not drinkable in the area but there is bottled room temperature and cold water available at no charge. The internet connection is exceptional. Downfall is no elevator to the 5th floor. The walls are empty yet.
Great Location and the staff was ready to help with any questions. It was nice to have a free breakfast: peanut butter, jelly, toast, milk, coffee, tea. Coffee and tea were available at all times. Internet connection was not the best but that seems to be common in China. The twin private that we used was large and the bathroom was very adequate. Beds were comfortable. The location was very convenient with the subway nearby.
Front desk staff was very eager to be helpful. The tours available were a highlight of our time in Guilin. I would highly recommend the rice terraces trip and be sure to hike to Ping'ang. We tried the pizza on the menu and it was very good. The address of the hostel provided in chinese was very helpful to give to cab drivers. Wifi was hard to keep a connection and it was slow. Toilet paper came in tiny rolls. Lily and Ivy worked very hard to make our stay comfortable.
Andy was probably the most helpful hostel staff member that I have come across! Rooms had toothbrushes, tea, coffee and slippers. Great place to stay!
The beds were incredibly comfortable and the sheets were pressed and of good quality so it felt like sliding into silk after a long day of travel. I slept well in a room of 10 beds. The bathroom was very clean, warm and had plenty of stalls, showers and even a hairdryer. The kitchen area is well stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal. There is even an oven. The reception people were not overly friendly but very adequately did their job and supplied all information needed.
We stayed at the Archi Rossi Hostel at the beginning and at the end of our stay in Italy. It was very convenient to the train station and the staff was very efficient, helpful and professional. The hostel has the best breakfast that we have ever had at that type of a guesthouse and it is included in the price of the room. Our second there were blankets on the beds. The first night we only had sheets and were cold. This might have been a housekeeping oversight. Internet did not work well.
