This hostel is pretty rough around the edges - very messy and dirty and everything's a bit old and tattered - but that's to be expected for the cheap price! But the staff are lovely and a good laugh, they treat you as an individual and remember your name. Really nice that they provide free airport pick up. It's a very laid back hostel. Good free wifi.

Really impressed with this place - they've thought of everything. Well organised, super clean, very well stocked kitchen, good free wifi, cosy duvets and heaters in the dorms, big lockers in the dorm, nice individual shower rooms, nice outdoor sitting area, great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Really cool place with a great atmosphere. Easy to book stuff at the travel desk. Good to have windows for ventilation in the dorms. Half the lockers in the dorm didn't have doors on them and the ones that did couldn't be closed. Of course you can use the lockers you have to pay for... Annoying to have to get dishes from reception but totally understand why! Would be helpful to have an oven.

Cheery, helpful staff and really handy location next to central station. They really need to provide duvets in winter - the thin blanket I got was not much help! Filthy kitchen when I arrived in the evening but staff obviously cleaned it well as it was spotless in the morning, shame people can't clean up after themselves.

Thanks for your review. Sydney is extremely cold at the moment and we have recently purchased more blankets to try and rememdy this issue. If you had of let the staff know we could have moved you to another room or provided some extra blankets. I am sorry that the kitchen was messy on your arrival. We have cleans through the day and evening to try and stem this issue, but on occasion the messy guests win! We hope that you enjoy the rest of your travels!

Lovely place, very homely, nice atmosphere, amazing views, good facilities and Robyn is so sweet! Things that could be improved would be to have wifi available all day (is available for 4 hours), have bins in the rooms and switch the heating on in the lounge - it was freezing in there!

The hostel feels like a thing on the side of the pub. Lacks atmosphere. $30 key deposit is clearly just spiteful as getting a key cut doesn't cost that much. Reception doesn't open until 11am so if you check out before then you have to give your key back the night before to get your deposit back! Which meant I couldn't get back in my room after a night out! Lacking certain dishes, eg there's only one bowl. The staff are nice, wifi is free and fairly good, lockers available, comfy lounge.

Nice place, feels more like a hotel than a hostel but is very homely. Comfy sofas in the common area. The tuk tuk driver I booked through the hostel (Rocky I think his name was) was a bit too friendly and kept touching my shoulders and arms, but he took the hint after I dodged away a few times! This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in in terms of atmosphere and meeting people. Lovely staff, great location near the train station and close to tourist attractions, free city map, good free wifi and free breakfast, small lockers in the room, fridge in each room. Expensive laundry - 9 euros and it's not self-serve, they do it for you so you'll have a stranger handling your underwear... awkward. No handwash provided in bathrooms.

Great location next to the train station and a short walk to the port. Free wifi but not in the rooms. Nice little outdoor area, good kitchen and common room. Helpful staff.

The girl on reception was lovely. Free wifi was good. Great location next to Passeig de Gracia metro and renfe - so very handy if you're going to the airport. I only stayed one night but seems like it has quite a sociable atmosphere and it would be easy to join in with the pub crawls.

Good location in the middle of the city, a bit of a trek from the train station though. Clean, has big lockers in the rooms, good free wifi, nice communal area. Really restricted hours that you can use the kitchen for which is really annoying. Roof terrace is a nice communal area but the light up there doesn't work.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for your comment! The kitchen usually is open to everyone during the day time if you ask at the reception, we are really sorry if the info at the door was kind of confusing. We hope to see you next time you are in town tho!

The boys on reception were very nice and helpful, they spoke good English too. Kitchen and dorms are tiny, but common areas are good. Impressed with the free breakfast. Good signal on the free wifi. Big lockers in the rooms. It's about a 15-20 min walk from Atotcha train station. Good location in the middle of the city though.

Great location, in the middle of the city and next to Jaume metro stop. Nice staff, the lady on reception spoke English. Free wifi (signal not great in the room but good in the stairwell!) Clean and functional. Shame there's no kitchen.

Cheap and cheerful, had a fun stay here, the staff are very friendly - James is awesome. Has a reputation as a party hostel but is really chilled out. Annoying that you can't access the kitchen at night. Free internet is one computer only. Free meal at the woolshed was really good and it's a great place to hang out in the evenings.

Had a very comfy and peaceful night's sleep here. Quiet and clean hostel, has free wifi, aircon in rooms. Have to leave a deposit to use kitchen utensils. Very close to greyhound stop.

Really cool layout with dorms being in separate huts arranged around the pool and bar in the middle, music playing. Friendly atmosphere but could do with some activities in the evenings. Only downside was the staff on reception, they were quite rude towards guests. Also kitchen full of insects, constantly getting flies and ants in my food! $20 deposit for a mug and cutlery. Internet is $4 for an hour on a computer or for 24h wifi.

Lovely place, feels more like a farm house than a hostel, very homely. Gary is very nice and helpful. Hostel is very clean and everything in good condition. Bikes free to hire, free wifi. Very quiet and relaxing place to be. All rooms have real beds, no bunks! Definitely recommend it!

Very high standard hostel, good facilities, everything very clean and in good condition (except the TV room smells like cheese!) Huge lockers in the room, with a plug socket in. Nice big communal area with pool on roof. Activities on every night. Good location, close to the CBD and transit centre. No free internet/wifi and lacks the friendly touch of a smaller hostel.

Nice hostel, clean and good facilities. Free wifi, free breakfast (bread and milk), no lockers in rooms but small lockers available in a separate room. Location ok, close to the south bank area and not too far a walk to the city centre. Not a very sociable hostel but quiet and a great place to stay if you're wanting a quiet night. The staff are great and really care about every individual. No handwash provided in bathrooms and if you go to the toilet at night there was never any toilet roll left

Was meant to be staying in a 10 person dorm but the keys we were meant to have were missing, so they put the 2 of us in a private room at no extra cost instead, which was nice! Nice enough hostel, has the facilities you would expect.

Great hostel. Loved the free breakfast, free tea/coffee and free wifi - although it was slow at times. Forrest is lovely and very knowledgeable. The kitchen was always clean because you have to leave a deposit to use kitchen items, so people always cleaned up after themselves.
