This is a very large hostel in central London, so is always very busy. It will appeal to many for those reasons, and making allowances for it's size, I can't fault their operation.
Average sums it up. Good value for London. Minus points; small toilet, no shaving mirror.
I spent two days here, though originally I had booked just one night. Having rebooked in the morning, I didn't expect I woold have to change rooms when I returned. There was a "computer says no" response to my enquiries. I had to book my second night online, despite being stood in reception. Not enough electric points in the rooms. The security cages under the beds are awkward to use, the lids can't be lifted without pulling the whole cage from under the bed. The beds and duvets are excellent
This one has slipped in my estimation, I had been impressed when I first visited. To be fair they are renovating, still the sight of half a ton of plaster outside the room is unusual. I had problems getting a duvet, almost needed to call down the wrath of god before one was produced. Location is of course, still excellent. Good common area where I enjoyed the banter of the drifters. But the weekend had arrived and prices had bolted, somewhere else was required.
