A really cool hostel! Really nice vibe, great location, VERY comfortable beds, very friendly staff. Because a lot of locals go to the hostel bar to hang out (a lot of locals...) it can be sometimes difficult to meet other travelers on the main floor.

The vibe here is on point and seems to attract really down to earth, chill people who are interested in talking and hanging out. The hostel is up a big hill, but the payoff is that the 'hood is really residential and interesting to be in. Friendly, helpful staff. Great kitchen! Only 3 bathrooms in the hostel meant sometimes you had to wait (or hop between the floors to see which one gets free first). I wasn't too keen that you couldn't lock the hostel room door. pillows were very hard.

Hostel Majdas, Mostar, Bosnia And Herzegovina

The most amazing, beautiful vibe at this hostel. Staff are beyond friendly and helpful, every traveler here was lovely as well. Very easy to meet people and socialize. Majdas cooks the BEST BREAKFASTS every morning for travelers and they are free. Do the hostel-led tour - best tour you will probably do on your trip. Very clean and comfortable rooms, ample bathrooms, secure, great location. There is really nothing that was missing, don't stay anywhere else in Mostar!

Luka's Lodge, Hvar, Croatia

Luka's Lodge is really, really fun. Easy to meet people and do social things. Every night you can be guaranteed there will be a group together (facilitated by hostel staff) that are going out. There is a family style vibe here amongst the workers, it's pretty welcoming. It's kind of far from things, a walk up the hill, but the neighbourhood is nice to explore and there are amazing views. Lots of amenities to rent for the beach if you don't have any. Wasn't the cleanest hostel room.

Great location, comfortable and clean. The hostel is quite small, and doesn't organize or do any of their own outings/pub crawls/etc so if you want to meet people, you will be at the whim of who else happens to be in the small common room at the same time as you. Staff were kind of absent most of the time. Overall a comfortable and happy stay, but I got lucky meeting some amazing people in the common room which made the experience great!

Clean, tidy hostel near the old town (but not in it). Good halfway point between the old town and bus station. Really small hostel, not really a good common area to meet people. Quaint and quiet stay here!

I loved the neighburhood this hostel was in... not so touristy but Close to the centre. Really cool bars and Restaurants in the area as well. Showers were Kind of awkward and there was only one outlet in a room for 6 People!

Stayed in a three-bed room in the other building of the hostel. Beds were comfy, room was large, bathrooms were clean. Had all standard amenities of a good hostel. In a location very close to sightseeing. I recommend this hostel!

Dar El Yasmine, Fez, Morocco

We were brought to Dar el Yasmine's other hostel location, which had another name. The owner of this other hostel was very unprofessional and lacked cultural sensitivity. Do not engage in conversations regarding religion, politics or culture with this owner, as much as he will try to convince you that he likes to talk about such topics. A comment about tipping in the Medina resulted in being sworn at and threatened. We were really uncomfortable around him the whole time. The rooms were nice

Great staff who cared about our enjoyment and security. Our room overlooked the lobby in the middle of the hostel and it was loud at night. Our hostel room was also very cold. However, very comfy beds, pillows and blankets made up for it. Great value for money. Not impressed with the shower situation (no shower stall so the whole bathroom gets wet). Overall pleasant stay!

Excellent, excellent hostel. Very clean, with modern bathroom facilities (i.e. not a shower head in the middle of the bathroom with no stall... instead, an actual shower!). The rooms were well maintained, beds were comfortable, and hostel was beautiful. Beautiful courtyard and rooftop terrace, great group of guests, great swimming pool! Like staying in a 4 star hotel (almost!). Free and great breakfast the morning we arrived and secure luggage storage until we could check in.
