Really nice owner. Who is willing to help you with just about anything! Rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet. Wifi was great and so was the a/c. Stayed in a double bed private. The walk to the day market was short maybe 10 minutes and to the night market it was more like 20 but one time is more than enough.

Location is not the best but with the free bikes they rent to you, you can get just about anywhere you'd need to go in 5 minutes. Good clean facilities, hot and cold shower, excellent wifi. Super friendly staff who seem to go out of their way to help you. Not very busy at the hostel so hard to comment on atmosphere. Pool table in the restaurant. Nice and quiet area.

Great hostel, the people who were staying there at the time made all the difference. The place was always clean , beds were comfortable, kitchen had what you needed, breakfast was basic (rolls/buns with dulce etc). Only real complaint is that the staff member had no idea what was going on for the party bus that they advertise in the hostel and when he did figure out what was going on, he failed to inform any of the 10 people who were signed up . Really nice hostel, staff were ok, recommended!

Hmmm what to say... Sandra the owner is awesome, so nice and her son is very knowledgeable on the city. Unfortunately while we were there we saw the dog sleeping on one of the beds and a baby being changed on another bed. I cant stress enough how nice Sandra is but unfortunately I don't think they realize they are running a business, a hostel. The kitchen is basic but does the trick. Security is not good, there are no lockers and the door to the room was often left unlocked whith no one inside

Thank you so much for your honest review, we really value our guests comments and yours have been taken on board. In terms of security we are very concious of our guests and their belongings and we couple that with offering a true family atmosphere. The hostal is 100% secure and we continue to have a problem free record. It was a real pleasure to have you both stay with us, I am so happy your trip to Playa Blanca and the mud volcano was a success, and we really look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes, Julian

Beds were comfortable but the dorms had no ventilation or fan. Kitchen had lots of space. The front desk gentleman didnt seem like he knew too much about his city . Though we were told the s owing area was at the back it was ever enforced and you were breathing in smoke while eating dinner. Very close to the supermarket and good space.

Good location, great I introduction to what the city and surrounding towns offer. The room was really dusty which was a huge downside . Kitchen was good (replacing the dish rags and cloths could be done more often, it wasn't done in the 3 days we were there ) . Overall good hostel but needs to be cleaned more frequently.

Nice hostel, good vibes. Wifi was very good. Basic kitchen ( they need to buy some bowls and forks but other an that it was great). Front desk always seemed a little disorganized ( my dorm room was woken up at who knows what time by the person who was working the front desk just to find out it was full). Convenient location, close to the water circuit, downtown lima and supermarket/shopping center. Beds were nice but eooms were hot and noisy from street and bar noise.

They do deserve to have amazing in their name. Very nice hostel with a great kitchen and wonderful staff. They were very friendly and even made breakfast for us earlier than the set breakfast hours as we were heading out early for the colca canyon. Wish we had longer to stay! About 9 blocks from the main plaza but arequipa is so lively it's a nice walk down to the center.

Very close to the main squares which is convenient. Showers were OK- hot at first, then freezing cold for 5 minutes and they hot again. 2 bathrooms on the main floor which made it inconvenient if someone was showering and you needed a bathroom. Rooftop terrace was nice with a few hammocks and a decent kitchen with fridge.

Stayed in what was supposed to be an 8 person dorm but it was really a 8+6 dorm. Unfortunate that they let people smoke in the bar/restaurant. Stayed for 3 nights and had cold to Luke warm showers at best. On the plus side the beds were very comfortable and the staff at least seemed to care

Pros: nice staff in the cafe, great location, awesome courtyards if you have nice weather, good price, breakfast if you pay extra is fantastic Cons: no one ever at the reception, completely shuts down on Sundays..no cleaning service, cafe is closed good luck checking in on Sundays, some mattresses suck, no lockers, no wifi in bedroom which wouldn't be a problem except if it is raining there is no common space other than the cafe (closed on Sundays) Has room for improvement

Thank you very much for your feedback. Yes, I remember this Sunday. It was the worst day in the year, it was raining so much. Fortunately there might be only 3 days per year like this. However it is right we should open the Cafe/Restaurant Sundays, but unfortunately I can`t convince my Bolivian wife. It is a cultural and religious issue, we are always fighting about this point. Nevertheless of course we attend arriving customers the only problem might be, if you arrive between 12:00 to 14:00 this day, but usually a guest will open you as well. Anyway, thanks a lot! Claus

Stayed in the ten person dorm, lockers were awesome . Used the kitchen in the house in the back, it could use some work (more cooking supplies and the tap needs to be fixed) but it was nice to have that kitchen when the other one is busy. The one day I had breakfast there everything was out (no more milk) and when we asked for some milk, the staff member came back noticed that the juice and practically everything was out and still didn't fill it up with over an hour to go in breakfast

Nice hostel, very big. No consistency in staff... Some are awesome and go above and beyond while others give you little info and don't even acknowledge you when you're standing at the desk in need of something. Lots of people, seems to be booked up most nights so reserve for the number of days you are staying otherwise you will find yourself moving to the hostel down the road. Like the private bathrooms !

Good evening, we are surprised, we didn't think you were that dissatisfied with the hostel when you ask for one more night (besides the two that you reserved from here). I use this reply to explain some things: the hostel will be ready very soon! About the security, you need to know that, in Argentina, in very small towns like this (with 300 inhabitants) no one ever locks their houses doors. Robbery here does not exist plus the nearest town is 250 km away. Although if you still feel insecurity you can ask the owner to keep your personal effects. We consider your opinion and we will add lockers as soon as possible, next time please say it here! Finally, with the cleaning issue, this November we have our staff incomplete, that's why you see the owner doing everything he can and sometimes the cleaning is not the best, but you have to know that that's not the big problem, if you notice, we are inside a National Park with 80km/h winds and very dusty so it's very complicated to keep everything shinning if the passengers came that dirty from the mountain. We will have our cleaning team back, but we still think that you won't be able to walk here barefoot again, here or in any other hostel of this dusty town! Apologize for my English, we do our best to improve a place where the night cost the same that two big Cokes

Awesome hostel ! We had planned to stay for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4 . The manager is very knowledgable and is very good at recommending things to do. They have up to date information and wonderful service! The place in always clean when you walk in and you can tell that a lot of love is being put into this place. My only suggestion for improvement is their breakfast, it is very simple ... Cereal, two croissants and tea or coffee. Great place to meet other people!!!

It was ok. Silvana at the front desk was really helpful and thorough but when she left and someone else took over, they were nowhere near the front desk and not very helpful. It seemed like a lot of people were going in and out and it was hard to keep track of who stayed at the hostel and who were just friends. I saw other " guests" buzzing people in. Breakfast was standard. People smoked in the terrace area which went in our room and it was loud at night and in the morning.

Great location in San Telmo, the subte (subway), only a flew blocks to plaza dorrego for the Sunday market and the city centre. The bed/ladder at the end of my bed creaked often at night. And upgrades are definitely needed for the mattresses. It was a nice hostel. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
