Very fast check-in; tasty breakfast, although I wouldn't say abundant. Good quality laundry service, usually picked up in the morning, and returned after dinner. However, when I arrived before dinner all covered in mud, saying I needed my clothes, the owner drove to the laundry shop earlier to get them. So 5 stars not for exceptional quality or service in a vacuum, but definitely above what you would expect for the price.

Very understanding staff, let me wash my stuff even if I didn't have cash on me so I could hang my stuff on the Rooftop before it would close. I paid them next day and everything was clean and ready for my next stop!

One of the cleanest hostels I've been in China, however Wi-Fi has been quite a problem, even on the computers in the common room... Unless you only need to access Chinese sites (I'm not talking about blocked sites, but sites I usually use without VPN and work)

Yui very available, explaining where the nice clubs are and helping me out with laundry.

Quite uncomfortable that for large periods during the day you simply cannot stay not even in the lobby, you have to go out, but it seems to be a habit of all the guesthouses around the area. A part from that, very available, beds comfortable, free tea! :D

Very helpful crew, possibility to cook and great spaces outside for sharing ice cream and wine. Free Walking tour of the old town, very recommended, useful tips galore. Totally recommend :)

I misunderstood great advice from the staff and was angry with them; not only did they say sorry, but investigated the issue throughly, and politely suggested further evidence that I was, in fact, being both wrong and mean in accusing them. Sorry again :) Breakfast is a feast even for other hotels, rooms have sockets and life is beautiful :)

The staff is willing to offer all kinds of additional services, from personalized itineraries, or waking up to manage my hectic schedule (waking up at 5 to serve me hot breakfast at 5.30). Plus the atmosphere is very artsy and traditional, sockets everywhere, clean toilet, plus everything they say in the description is true.

The hostel is quite spacious, has an internal garden and lots of sofas and benches (that can turn out quite useful for napping). The bike-lending service is in my opinion the best way to explore Dali and the surroundings (especially the lake is worth a visit) and the staff has done everything possible to book fares for me in very high season.

The evening staff was very rude, first thing they asked me was money. The morning staff seemed to have no idea about what they were doing. There no lights, nor plugs need to the beds in the room. Wifi is not included, and it's not available in the rooms. Breakfast is not included, and costs 4 euros not for much.
We thank you for having taken time to give us your opinion concerning your stay in our youth Hostel. My team and I are really concerned about your appreciations and notice, we maintain our efforts so that the performance which we bring you answers in best your desires. I'm really sorry about the feeling you have about Philippe the Watchman. We have really good comments about him usually ... For Tom at the morning, he is new in Ciarus but i'm sure he will be a great receptionnist with a little bit more experience, thank you for your understanding. We hope to see you again. Best regards, Dominique FLOUX Responsable hébergement

The staff has really no knowledge of English, as Italians we could make do, but that could be an issue.
