Tiny little hostel! Clean and well run. A bit outside of the center but not too bad, about a 15 minute walk to the main square. Beds were pretty uncomfy but otherwise no problems.

Very clean and well kept. The only fault I could find with it is that while they do have a kitchen available for use there are no pots, pans, bowls, cups, cutlery etc....which makes having a stove a bit pointless. Very safe feeling whostel though.

We stayed in one of the private double rooms and the room was lovely! It had fabulous views over Riomaggiore. The only thing I would say is don't book one of these rooms if you are not fit - they are located waay way at the top of Riomaggiore looking down over the village and it is a bit of a steep climb to get up there, which in 30 degree weather can be a bit draining! Other than that a great experience.

Very well run hostel - clean and friendly. Good facilities as well, as each floor had its own kitchen and bathroom!

Great location but the kitchen was GROSS and you generally would expect the staff to speak some level of English in an English speaking country...

Wonderfully run independent hostel. The staff were so friendly to me and I felt very safe. It's not often you can say your stay at a hostel was relaxing, but everything really felt so peaceful here. Great location walking distance from Grasmere town center, easy enough to find. I loved being situated directly on a path leading to great hiking! I stayed in the camping barn, and it was definitely adequate. In fact it was far more comfortable than many hostel beds I have slept on!

London hostels always suck...but this one sucked less than some so I guess that is good? Very good central London location, clean enough bathrooms, beds were fine.

Very nice hostel for a big city! Very clean and nicely decorated. Good staff. Only fault is the guest kitchen is only open after 2pm! However I would recommend this hostel hands-down. Great location as well!

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for your feed back and your comments are taken on board about kitchen opening hours. We do use the main kitchen ourselves to provide breakfast and have priced everthing individually especially for those who do not want the expence of a full breakfast. Hope to see you back at The Townhouse/Globetrotters sometime in the future.

Best hostel I have ever stayed in - the owners were so kind to us! Great location, friendly hospitable feel, great hang out room with books, tv, movies etc, adequate kitchen and great dining area. Breakfast included never hurts either! Hands down a great hostel.

This is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and linen, warm, cosy...i could go on and on! The owners are so helpful and friendly, they really make you feel at home. The hostel has a really great sitting room with a TV, movies, books etc and beautifully decorated kitchen/breakfast area in the basement. Great location in Caernarfon's centre as well! Incredible value for money, and a great breakfast included in the price never hurts!

Amazing location with the added bonus of free admission to the ancient abbey included in the price of your stay! Good kitchen, clean bathrooms, large spacious rooms. However it was pretty drafty and cold, particularly in the kitchen, and the wind hits the rooms pretty hard so on stormy nights sleep is a bit challenging! But overall a very nice hostel in a historic location - would definetly recommend.

For any fault in it's facitlies, the staff make up for it ten fold. Upon check in you are immediatly given a map, a full tour of the hostels, shown your bed, and give insider tips for exploring Oxford! Great atmosphere, very friendly place to meet people from all over the world. And breakfast included never hurts!

A bit expensive for what it is, but excellent staff and a really friendly atmosphere. Good location just a few minutes walk from the heart of Oxford! Better than average bedding provided and nice to have breakfast included. Overall a good choice!

Good location and atmosphere with a great bar/breakfast/chillout area. However some of the rooms were a bit akward - for example to get to room 8 you must walk through room 7, etc. Overall though it was a great stay and very friendly helpful staff made all the difference! Excellent free breakfast...mmmmm chocolate cereal! Chocolate milk! Chocolate spread on toast! Gotta love Belgium.
