THE PRIVATE ROOMS ARE NOT PRIVATE. Rather, they are single-person, single-bed, ceilingless cells. You can hear everyone and everything -- and I do mean everything, down to the last door-slam, cough, rustle, cell phone chime, and whispered conversation. Not-necessarily-complete list of broken things during my stay: (1) My card key, after one night (2) The kitchen dishwasher (3) 1 of the 2 microwaves (4) All of the vending machines (5) Some of the stove burners One positive: it's clean.

WARNING: NO A/C! You will have to either deal with it or open a window and get attacked by mosquitos. Also, the street noise is really bad and there's no lift to the 5th floor, and the upper restroom is icky and smelly. A sole positive: Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Not a particularly well-maintained hostel. The washrooms are dirty and a lot of things are broken, including the Wifi if you stay on the second floor. However, it's certainly viable if all you need are hots and a cot for a low price. And security is very good, with lockers (key provided) and a luggage storage room monitored by staff (still recommend keeping true necessities with you as there is no luggage tag system).

Not a five-star location -- it's a fair walk from the main attractions -- but much-more-than-adequate beds, washrooms, and breakfast. A few things to keep in mind: * Look for the dock with "Amsterdam" as one of the ships. Should be the first one you pass. * Pot/drugs are forbidden aboard * "Free wifi" = 50 Mb. In other words, look elsewhere if you plan to watch some SpongeBob under the influence. Otherwise it's definitely workable.

Overall a pretty annoying experience. Lots of inconsistently enforced rules about when you can be in your room due to cleaning -- if they don't clean during the posted times, expect to be booted out by the rather rude and obnoxious co-owner and guilt-tripped for making them wait. Washrooms are also not very clean. I found a shaving razor on the floor of the shower, although it could have been from the last person to use the shower. Even apart from the razor, not very appealing.

In all Hostel/Hotel around the world rooms are accessible ONLY after the daily cleanings and so it is also for common areas. When you and your other 2 friends arrived was pretty early and PRETENDED to get into your room and was not even the check out time for guests who were booked ino that room.We kindly offered a safe deposit for your 3 luggages. You have used the common bathroom and this was just used by another guest. We need time to do our work to give you a clean place to stay :-)
