Loved the rooftop pool. Due to the hostel being small, there weren't many people around, but this can be a good or bad thing. Great sangria night! Room was a bit hot and stuffy (but i didn't look for a window to open). Loved the building itself and surroundings. Definitely would stay again. Plus free juice, coffee and breakfast (toast and jam) at any time. Staff was super friendly too.

Great tapas and sangria nights to get to know other travelers. Love-love-loved the rooftop bar! The view was amazing (during the day), but it closed at 12 sharp :(. Room was spacious, loved the way the beds had sides on them for privacy, but no window for air. Plenty of bathrooms. Kitchen only had a microwave, but who knew you could boil pasta in a microwave, learned something new! From an environmental point, didn't like that there was only paper cups, no 'real' glasses, but I came prepared.

The location was in an office area which had no facilities, except a train station. The description did not state you could take the train to this hostel, leading us to take the tram which took an hour, instead of the train, which could have taken 6 minutes. Lovely to stay in a converted sleeper train though.

Stayed here before in a larger room and it was great. This time a tiny room with 6 beds with a window that didn't close and a bathroom right next door, very noisy. At a top of a hill, but would still stay here again.

There was no atmospheres at all in this hostel. I felt like everyone was looking at you as if you had done something to offend them (other people told me they felt the same), I spent most of the time in the room. The 16 bed dorm did not feel as large as I first thought. There were dividing walls, making it feel less crowded. ps. watch out for people sleeping naked in Finland. Receptionist with pink hair was very rude. Other staff not very helpful either. They thought it was a hassle to help you

There are some very steep stairs as you arrive at this hostel, . The pillows are tiny and very bumpy. As I was sitting down on the only comfy seat in the place, the staff told me to get up, as they were throwing the very comfy couch out. Now there are only stools or chairs to sit in. Nowhere to actually relax. Not sure if I'll stay here again, except for the fact that it is not too expensive.
Dear guest, thank your review! Currently we are buying a lot of new furtniture to make your stay better. We are more than happy to offer you extra pillows for your comfort. Welcome back again! Love, Marina, Lodge32

Some staff were more useful than others. They weren't very friendly when I first arrived, but when I had a problem a different staff member was very helpful, even offering me a different room from the one I was in. The free dinner is great. Saves so much money when I was there.

The breakfast was slightly expensive, the rooms were ok and the bathrooms in the rooms where tiny. So small that I could not turn around in them. The shower was too hot and fluctuated in temperature, but since the shower was so tiny you could not go any other place but stand under the boiling water. The common area was nice with a 24 hour café, food was great in the bar area. Location is good near public transport, but a slightly rough area around the station.
Hello, Thanks for the review. Unfortunately we cannot do a lot about the size of the bathrooms, but the temperature of the water should not fluctuate. Our Chief Engineer is currently checking the problem. I apologize for the inconveniences caused. Hope to see you again on your next trip to Hamburg. Sven Heberling, Assistant General Manager

The bar area has great views and a good atmosphere to make new friends in. The common area is right beside reception, which I felt was a bit odd, as if the staff was watching you all the time. The rooms were spacious and ensuite facilities great as well.

The location of this hostel is really good. The windows don't close properly and as it is in the city centre, it can get slightly noisy at night, especially at the weekend. The hostel receptionist Jonny was really helpful and answered all my many many questions. He also gave me lots of insider tips about places to go I wouldn't otherwise have known about, plus he gave me a little language lesson of the essential words I needed to know. He was great.

I loved this hostel. There is a sunroom it has a glass roof, with trees growing in it and hammocks and beanbag. It was very comfy. The atmosphere was amazing. I met so many new friends in the hostel bar. Plus everyone gets a free drink token when they arrive. The rooms are really spacious and even have a large table and benches to sit at.

Very helpfull staff. great they have plugs beside the bed and reading lamps. Very clean and good facilities, except the fac the light in the toilet is operated on a movement sensor, which means you have to wave your arm while on the toilet. That was the only minor negative thing.

The rooms where lovely and had curtains for added privacy. This was good in one way, but no one talked to anyone in the room because of this. There was no-one in any of the common areas, eventhough there were people staying in the hostel. There was no athmosphere at all. I sat on my own in the common rooms all three nights I was there. Also my phone would not connect to their WiFi network.

The location was amazing, the staff were not very helpful at one point, but they did recommend places to visit etc and let me use the internet on their computer

Possibly the best hostel I've stayed in. The staff made us feel so welcome. We stayed up with them until 3 in the morning watching TV. They made us dinner and even catered for my friend who is allergic to most foods. The facilities are very good. The décor is lovely and showers seem to have been just refurbished. Breakfast was lovely and there were lots of choices of toppings for toast.

Best hostel I've stayed in so far. The rooms were lovely. Got a better room than I had paid for. The bathroom was amazing (I want one in my own house). The common room was lovely and the people (including staff) were lovely. The location was brilliant. Right beside the metro and across from a supermarket for some late night snacks.

Very nice hostel. Loved the fact that there was free breakfast and a pub attached to it. Staff were very friendly and when i had a complaint about noise from people in my room it was dealt with quickly and discreetly. Also loved the location of the hostel. Only complaint would be the comfortableness of the mattress/pillow, but that's to be expected in a hostel.
