Unfriendly staff. Bar full of kids but that was just unfortunate timing. Breakfast rubbish compared with the amazing one in wombats Vienna!

This wasnt't really a hostel as such, more a hotel. It was very clean and the location is fab right on the beach. Very easy to walk to the centre of town too. Not really a place for meeting people though, good if you aren in a group but not if you are travelling alone. The breakfast is amazing too.

Fantastic hostel, would have no hesitation about staying here again next time I am in Rio. Clean, felt very safe and met some lovely people. The staff were EXCELLENT, went of their way to help us and advise on things to do, how to get to places, lend us adaptors etc. I think this hostel is far better located than those which are nearer the beach as this is within easy walking distance to Lapa which is a good place to go to at night, but within easy distance of the metro for beaches in the day.

John on reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Fabulous location for visiting Bath. Only thing I'd say is bring an extension lead if you are a group of girls with various hair dryer/ straighteners/ phone chargers as ONE single plug in the room is not enough!!!
