"Double bed" with two separate mattresses and tiny duvets, we found hair in the bathroom and in the bed, the closet was literally falling apart while just opening the door. No "do not disturb" sign to begin with, so the cleaning lady was trying to get into our room violently as we were still sleeping. Breakfast is 9€ per person, which is crazy. The only remarkably good thing is the free coffee and tea, also ups for nice staff. Location: 15min walk to the city centre - not bad.

Basic rooms to stay just off Gran Vía. The room was clean (even though it smelled like cigarette smoke as we entered), air conditioned, the window kept all the noise from the busy street out really well. The sink in our room really helped, because we found the shared bathrooms to be quite far away at the other end of the hallway. Nice terrace to chill out on, even though it's a bit annoying that it closes at 22:00, since it's too hot to be there before that time in summer.

Basic rooms (in an apartment) to stay in an OK location. Our room and the bathroom weren't squeaky clean, the window blinds didn't close well and the internet didn't work (which wasn't mentioned by the owner, even though she knew). Comparing the price to other locations that we've traveled to, we'd actually liked an open kitchen and some towels. I don't feel good giving such a critical review since the owner was very nice, but maybe this helps getting better!

Hotel Bilbi

Big room with terrace, located directly outside of the old town. Nice and helpful staff, the hotel made a clean appearance. Our room was strangely hot, even though we had under 20° outside. After leaving the air condition for a night, in the morning we discovered that it was blowing hot air, so that we didn't have a very pleasant sleep. Also, usually, in places with no breakfast included, I'd expect the opportunity to at least buy sth (apart from a vending machine), which was not the case there.

Nice, clean and quiet place right in the heart of the city. Our room was small but we had all we needed. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. The roof terrace in the backyard is awesome to relax on. Neatly furnished common rooms. One little negative point: the bathrooms could be better ventilated, the smell wasn't very pleasant and the steam after a hot shower took hours to disappear.

Quiet place in a pedestrian area right next to the San Telmo park and bus station. The hostel is lovely and very clean, the owners are nice and helpful and there's everything you need in the kitchen. There's a spacious living room, a terrace and a little balcony to relax. We loved the self-serving breakfast. So no rush in the morning and cereal all day long! :D Definitely no place for party people, but perfect for a relaxed stay without paying lots of money. Thank you very much!

Overall not a bad hostel. The downside for us was that we stayed during Semana Santa and had to pay almost 20€ per night in a dorm with 12 people. Speaks for itself... The room was poorly lit and didn't have enough plugs and mirrors. The most uncomfortable thing is the fact that there are too few bathrooms and showers for the number of people in the hostel, that's a real pain in the ass in the morning. The staff was very nice though, the location is good and Sangria-hour is awesome!

Perfect location, everything has a nice modern touch, like e.g. the awesome storage system in the rooms. The staff is nice and helpful, the breakfast is good and free shots are of course always a plus :D Overall very clean, too, even though the bathrooms could be cared for a bit more. Also, more than two showers for like four rooms on one floor would be nice. BUT those showers are so awesome, I didn't ever wanna get out^^ Would defs come back, thanks for everything! =)

Good location, very nice staff - thank you very much for dinner! We also appreciated the free cereals throughout the day :D The hostel itself is nicely furnished and well equipped, we felt very comfortable in the living rooms and kitchens. You guys should work on your WiFi though - it barely covers the whole first floor. Anyhow, I would recommend the hostel to my friends! =)

We arrived in the middle of the night a recieved a warm welcome with tea, snacks, laughter and stories about the hotel's daily routine. The breakfast the next morning was awesome and the staff was really friendly. Our room was huge, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was a little downturn - damp and could use a rejuvenation (the shower was the best we had in Morocco, though!) The room was also quite cold on a winter night.

Riad Hotel Espagne

Situated 2 mins off the central square with very nice and helpful people working there. Breakfast in the sun on the roof terrace is ace! The building itself is nicely decorated and quite antique. The rooms aren't huge, but there's everything you need. What we didn't like was the fact that at least the rooms on the ground floor were really dark, cold and quite damp. The coolness might be awesome in summer, but on winter nights it was no pleasure. The bathrooms could also use some rejuvenation.

Around the corner from las Ramblas in a quiet backyard - just perfect! It's a 4 bedroom apt, nicely furnished and decorated, fully equipped kitchen & 2 bathrooms. The staff is friendly, helpful, always up for a chat or a night out, we had a really good time. What we didn't like were the matresses - they're really thin and worn down, so you feel like lying on plain wood sometimes, which is not very comfy. And there is no hot tub, as suggested on the facilities' page ;) Everything else is ace! =)
