Stayed here over songkran, stayed in dorm for 2 nights and private room for rest of stay. Dorm simple but gets the job done, no bunk beds, just mattresses with curtains for privacy, a bit too warm at night. Private room very basic but again, it's cheap and cheerful. Private bathroom main downside, only one for all guests and people using the bar. Bar a nice place to chill, excellent 60 baht mojitos and friendly staff. Location is great. If you want something really cheap go for it.
A really nice hostel, I stayed in the 6 person dorm, very clean and quiet. Shared bathrooms were clean, showers were piping hot, free breakfast every morning of toast, cake, tea, coffee and orange juice. Staff really friendly and sit and chat with you in the evening, a nice chilled relaxed atmosphere in the evening. It isn't right in the centre of the heritage area, only a few minute walk at most, a 7-11 is located about 1 minute away and KOMTAR bus terminal is about 5 mins away.

The staff here are really great, very helpful and easy to get on with, happy hours are abundant and there are different deals every day. Dorm room was fine, en suite was a bit awkward in mornings as it was a few meters next to my bunk so quite noisy, not a lot of room in the shower room either. Good areas to hang out, there are balconies to chill on if you need some quiet. It is popular with the young crowd and got quite loud in the evening, so consider somewhere else if you need quiet!
Nice guesthouse, I had a double bed room to myself which was clean, and it had a BOILING hot shower. Staff were friendly and quick to help with booking tuk tuks and bus tickets. Security guard outside at night was comforting. The only downsides were that it was quite far from the riverfront, although motos are outside the guesthouse and usually cost only $1-2, and my room wasn't cleaned at all during my 5 day stay. Overall a good place for the price.
