Apart from being in an excellent location (many other hostels are too) I was very disapointed. Most noteably, on arrival we were barely looked at let alone talked to by the two female staff members and felt like we were an imposition on them the whole time. The rooms were tiny with no lockers and very uncomfortable beds. Only 2 showers for the whole hostel lead to long queues. We moved to surfers hostel after where they are lovely and it's 4 doors down. Go there
The location is a bit dodgy-down and road I saw so many drunks / homeless on and I was glad I was with my brother wouldn't have felt safe by myself. It was a huge building but no atmosphere. We were the very top floor like 9 sets of stairs no lift. No wifi except in the common room which was huge- only bonus. Our room was 4 bed dorm and we were told we didn't a get key because it was dorm. Therefore everyone in the whole building had access to our room which was RIDICULOUS and unsafe.
Loved cocomama!! i have travelled Europe three times and this I by far and away the best hostel I've ever been in. Beautiful kitchen/lounge area that feels like your in your holiday home. Nice big rooms, big beds and very clean. Loved the Joop the hostel cat and the staff especially meena (can't remember how to spell) were so kind and helpful.
The location isn't amazing after living in London for a year I was disapointed in where I had to stay but it was the only one available as I booked at late notice. The staff are very nice though. The bathrooms are fine and the rooms are okay although I do not like the 3 bed bunks at all and had I known I wouldn't have booked. There's underneath it where you can buy a cheap breaky or have cheap drinks. There are better but surely worse as well
