Not a hostel but a series of apartments & certainly with our room, it is used as a children's bedroom usually meaning: slightly creepy children's photos, all cupboards and draws full of others peoples belongings. The owner (a blonde lady) is one of the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune of meeting (as you can probably tell from the replies she leaves here). The grandma is a lot friendlier however is constantly on your back about petty things. 25 min walk and hundreds of steps to town

Very friendly owner and son team. Lovely apartment, really nice to get out of hostels for a couple of days! 1 double bed, 2 single and double sofa all good standard as was the rest of the apartment.

Excellent hostel at a reasonable price. Bar is great for meeting people, Tarik is very friendly and helpful. Good distance from any of the trouble in Istanbul atm. The Cheers hostel area is not affected by any of the protests at all so don't let that put you off

Pro's: great showers, friendly staff, new furnishings and free internet (if you can get on a computer). Con's: basic value hostel in city centre with no character or class. Would benefit from a few signs to direct you as to how things work and certainly some more kitchen equipment.

Couldn't recommend this hostel enough. Staff constantly make an effort to go out of their way to help you and the hostel itself has everything you could need and more including excellent character and facilities, superb for a well-priced stay in Auckland.
