El Jardin Hostal

Asuncion, Paraguay
100%

Staff was fantastic; Thomas, his wife, and the rest of staff were incredibly helpful. They helped us find out when our bus was leaving and how to get to to our next destination, as well as recommendations for good places to eat closeby. The interior was perfect for lounging in the sun or shade; their ivy covered patio sparkling with twinkly lights and eclectic decorations was beautiful. Homemade bread for breakfast was delicious and the bathrooms were very clean.

Casa 579

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

We stayed 10 days at Casa 579 then went back for another weekend at the end of March, originally planning to stay only 2 days. Needless to say, we LOVED it. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, breakfast was the BEST we had in our 3 month trek through South America. It is located high above Santa Teresa with marvelous views of Jesu Cristo and Sugarloaf, but takes 20-30 minutes to get to the beach and center. Very easy transportation via the favela vans that stop right outside the hostel.

LimetimeĀ“s staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and spoke very good English. The bathrooms were a little dirty, not from lack of cleaning, just overuse and grafitti. It is a great hostel for partying as they give a free caipirinhia every night at 9 and the bar has a good atmosphere (Daniel is a great bartender!). Beds in the dorms were awesome; included a light and the bottom bunks all had a curtain so you could keep your area dark. Lockers available but need your own lock; internet fast!

Iguazu Falls Hostel

Puerto Iguazu, Argentina
83%

Iguazu Falls Hostel has a great pool for cooling off and lots of bathrooms and showers. Big open area for meeting new people or hanging out in a corner if you want to chill alone. Some of the staff were not very friendly. Kitchen is very small and had a lot of bugs flying around the garbage can (not emptied quite enough). Fabulous location 2 blocks from the bus station and close to restaurants, shops, and bus stops.

Che Salguero Youth Hostel

Cordoba, Argentina
100%

We love love LOVED Che Salguero! Beds were extremely comfy, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and facilities and lounge areas clean. Offered an asado many nights of the week that was plentiful and a great value for the price; ample opportunities to meet new people and enjoy time on your own. Close to the center (about 10-15 min walk) and not far from the bus station either. Breakfast was okay. HIGHLY recommended!
