Smart Hyde Park Inn Hostel, London, England

I booked this because it was the cheapest I could get for 1 night in London. The staff were terrible. I had to basically figure out everything on my own as they did little to help with information on how to get to the airport when traffic diversions were in place and delays announced. I ended up not sleeping there but I doubt I could have anyway as it was so stuffy with very little air con for a 20 bed dorm. You shouldn't pay over £10 for this place. Much nicer hostel across the road.

Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate that your stay with us was less than enjoyable. Our staff receive regular training in customer service and your comments will be used to enhance our service. During these summer months, heat can be a problem but we are rolling out new ways to help air circulation to help with the rooms ambience. Thank you again for your review and for staying with Smart Hostels

The friendliest and most helpful hostel staff I've come across so far on my travels. Walking distance to the main nightlife area in the Jewish district. We stayed here in November, so it was off season and very quiet around the hostel. We were bit late checking out, but they didn't rush us out the door. I would definitely stay here again! highly recommended!

We were checked in by DJ on reception, he was really friendly and chatty. Really nice guy! Breakfast was very good, maybe could add some juice. The pub crawl was well organised and we had alot of fun. It was a bit confusing at first trying to find the hostel. Would definitely stay here again.

Paul and Julie were so nice! The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned everyday. Great location only only 2 minutes from Guy-Concordia metro station. Good place for a quiet stay but not great for young people as there are a few older long term residents. The oven doesn't work and only 2 rings on the cooker worked which was really annoying because you had to wait for everybody to cook their dinner. The hostel does'nt organise any events like pub crawls ect. Overall a good hostel for the price.

Overall it was an OK hostel. There were mice in the rooms and no sign of traps or anything to get rid of them. It's like the staff think it's ok to have rodents running around your room. Another thing is that the bar is open every night of the week so its very hard to get to sleep with the loud music. The lack of female toilets upstairs is annoying. The beds are noisy. They do a great deal on the Niagra Falls tour, very good discount.

Rooms are definitely a tight squeeze. Great for one or two nights. Right in the middle of Galway!!! Very decent for the price we paid. I would stay here again.
