One of the more atmospheric hostels to stay at with its own great looking bar and old wooden aesthetic. The facilities are all great with a good sized common room and excellent spacious showers and the rooms are well secured with a door code. The staff were also very warm, friendly and helpful and the location wasn't too bad only one stop away from Asakusa and anything of major interest. Definitley the most interesting place I stayed at whilst on my two week trip in Japan.
You get what you pay for here, a cheap place to stay in Osaka. The rooms are little more than boxes with a mattress and tiny pillow but hey, the room had a TV (small and crappy granted) unlike everywhere else I stayed so not too bad. It is close by to Den Den Town (walking distance) and the Shinsekai area which is convenient if you want to check those places out but the whole place is really for those on budget stays or who like a more gritty hostel experience, though the showers were fine.
This was probably the best hostel we stayed at as far as atmosphere and facilities go, with a great airy common room to interact with other travellers and good kitchen, toilet and laundary facilities (even if I did overlook the laundry closing time of 9.00pm, oops). The staff were friendly and helpful enough if not as warm as others we met on our travels. Its location was also very central making getting around easy enough; I would definitely recommend this highly affordable hostel.
For those seeking an authentic traditional Japanese room and experience this place is great. Prepare for some communication difficulties if you want to do more than just check in at the hotel as the managers don't speak a whole lot of English (though thankfully, I knew enough Japanese to get by) but nonetheless they were warm, friendly and helpful and all the facilities and rooms were top notch, including the onsen bath. Very close to the station so not diffcult to find or access. Book now!
We all had a great stay at K's House even if it was brief. Being so close to the atmospheric Asakusa area and Sensoji Temple was a real plus and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks again.
