Hostel has very good facilities: common laptops available for wi-fi for the traveller who does not have their own but needs to connect; free pool table; very large kitchen to cook. Location is excellent. Staff are very friendly and always available to provide help. The breakfast is a buffet, with fruit included. Dorm beds are very comfortable. Very good value for money. Only downside is that the hostel is part of a chain, so lacking a bit of local feel. Aside from that, definitely worth a stay.

Small hostel close to the street art of Valparaiso. Healthy breakfast included. The hostel was rather quiet when we were there, might feel a bit cramped during high season. The hostel is very modern and clean. Worth a stay if you plan on visiting Valparaiso for two or three nights. Good value for the price you pay.

Hostel was busier than the first time we stayed - with two main bathrooms upstairs you might have to wait to take a shower. The curfew at night can be a hassle if you arrive back late: we got back at 1am one night and had to wait 20 mins until a fellow guest answered the door to let us in. The breakfast is very good for the price you pay, kitchen has good facilities (Lider supermarket 5-10 mins walk away) . It's about a 30min walk to Santa Lucia, so a bit out of the way. Lovely parks nearby.

Hostel Petero Atamu

Pina is lovely, very friendly and warm. The rooms are very spacious, with a great shower. The breakfast sets you up for the day: every second day an omelette, on other days ham and cheese. Good juice, bread and coffee/tea. Hanga Roa's main street is few mins walk away, so easy to reach. Very close to Ahu Tahai so you can get good photos of sunset with the moai and make it back shortly after. The kitchen was good, helped to keep our costs under control! Overall, very happy with our stay.

We only stayed at Hostal Villa America for one night as we were travelling to Easter Island. The hostel looks to be old mansion, refurbished. It is very spacious and the kitchen facilities were brilliant. The beds were really comfortable. There are plenty of really nice parks nearby. Mike let us have breakfast at 5.30am, out of hours. Best breakfast we've had in SA. Boiled eggs included in a hostel breakfast! With cereal! We've gotten use to only bread and coffee. We plan on going back.

Great hostel! Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and hot showers (probably the best shower we had in SA). The owner was very nice but didn't speak much English. We wanted to visit the Mamalluca observatory and he called them about the tour. Unfortunately the observatory cancelled the tour as the sky was going to be overcast (good that the tell you in advance though!). The kitchen was well equipped and hostel located close to a supermarket. Very good value for money.

Dorm room was very good. Music playing in the hostel was a bit annoying and the kitchen was a little small for the number of beds at the hostel. No common area but a terrace available (if it's not too cold). Bathrooms were clean and hot water available.

Good common area with a decent pool table, a second room also with some sofas. Not alot of space to eat any food cooked. We ate on the terrace, others came out to smoke. Only two bathrooms in the hostel so you might have to wait to take a shower.

Good common area and kitchen. However, the wifi frequently didn't work and there are not many sockets to charge at. The 8 bed dorm is tiny and you could hear people talking outside the dorm at all hours during the night. Seemingly staff are not too bothered about noise levels. The bathrooms are clean and hot water is available.

Great breakfast (tea/coffee, croissants, cereal, apple), especially the strong coffee! The bathrooms could be cleaner, floor mats would maybe limit water on the floor after showers. Otherwise this is a good value for money hostel, centrally located.

Only a one night transit stop over in Istanbul. I did stay at this hostel for a longer period two years ago. The roof top common area has been changed significantly and the space is much better used. The breakfast is one of the best I've had at any hostel, anywhere in the world. The dorm beds all have lights and curtains for privacy, which is great and not all that common. Very close to all main tourist attractions at Sultanahmet. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Irkutsk City Lodge. The hostel is very modern and clean, with good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The location is a bit out of the main city (about 4-5 km, I guess) but the buses and trams are frequent and only cost 12 Roubles. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Irkutsk for a few days.

This was a lovely hostel, spacious and well laid out. The staff were very good - I had a problem with my laptop and they let me use one. The facilities were good but the kitchen could have been a bit cleaner, same for the common room. The location is great, close to a supermarket and the main street. The hostel was very warm (even hot!) during the night with heating in the walls. This made it difficult for us to sleep well. Except for these two points we enjoyed our stay at Zokol.

This was a nice hostel to stay, very small but thankfully the hostel wasn't that busy in March. The staff were polite and helpful, not alot of English but google translate helped. The location of the hostel is quite good but without speaking Russian or having google maps it is very difficult to find. The hostel does not provide much by way of directions to get to the hostel, it is quite hidden. The shower was very good but the floor got quite wet. Aside from these two points it was good value.

This is a lovely quaint hostel in a historical building. The staff are very friendly and always on hand to help out. The common area is a good spot to lounge around in the evening after exploring the city. The location is perfect, a short stroll to the Red Square and there is a big supermarket nearby. The kitchen could have better utensils (more knifes and pots) and maybe some mats for the showers but otherwise a good value for money hostel with lots of character. Thanks! Ana&Liam

I can honestly say that this is the best hostel I have stayed at anywhere in the world. The kitchen is well equipped, the common area is cozy, with games available. The computers are Apple desktop computers (we didn't need to use these as we had our own). The staff were great&the hostel is only a short walk from the main attractions in St. Petersburg. A 5 star hostel, you would be silly to go anywhere else. Well done on setting up this travel home - it is a hostel made by backpackers. Ana&Liam

We really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. The rooms are lovely, as was the overall design throughout .As we stayed two nights Dominique kindly organised a free transfer from the airport, which was unexpected. The pool table is in great condition. Norbert was kind&funny, we enjoyed his company on the drive to/from the airport. The guesthouse has some adorable pets. The location is not in the centre of Agadir but ideal for soaking in the local atmosphere. Merci bien! Ana & Liam

Thank you for your comment which is very much appreciated. We try to keep our costs down as much as possible and give a good value accommodation. Unfortunately we have to charge a small fee for wi-fi to cover cost and repairs. We believe the charge of €7.00 minimum / 7 nights is a very fair fee. Thank you once again.

A nice hostel but nothing overly special to be honest. Internet was free but quite slow. The room had a free locker which was handy but I had issues again and again with the electronic card key. Not fun if you are trying to get back into the room after a shower!! Excellent location, right beside the Moon Lake which is lovely. Main train station is only 7mins walk as well. For the price of the hostel it was good enough value.

Unfortunately I cannot review this hostel as when we arrived the hostel was closed and the owner away. However, I did manage to contact the owner and he did organise alternative accommodation for us.
