Loved Jollyboys, the perfect example of how a backpackers should be. Great atmosphere for meeting people and easy to book all your activities. While the dorms may not have lockable doors or lockers, you can use lockers just outside the room and the entire complex is walled with 24 hour security.
Incredible hostel, some of the best facilities I've seen. Location is criticized but personally I liked being away from the tourist intense main island of Venice. Sitting by the water with a beer and pizza watching the sun set looking at San Marc's was amazing. Only real problem is the €7 ferry trip. Maybe in the future hostel guests might get a cheaper shuttle service. Bar was good with cheap drinks and food.
Perfect location, perfect facilities. Reviews often mention a poor atmosphere but a lot of that comes down to what type of people are staying at the hostel. The hostel provides free snacks and wine so there is plenty of opportunity for guests to create a good atmosphere! Some of the reception staff could do with some personality makeovers but there were a couple really friendly and helpful ones.
Friendly staff, very clean and whilst having a loud bar and club I could hear no noise from the room. Very social atmosphere too
Fantastic host and a fantastic hostel. Air conditioned bliss in the summer, great location right near the square but in a quiet street. Will definitely stay here again
Magic is a great host, will sort you out with anything. Somewhat basic hostel but ticks all the boxes
Ali is a nice guy but other staff, particularly those on breakfast duty were really rude. Even refused a request for a glass of water. No aircon which is unbearable at night. Very few toilets mostly located in shower rooms so if the shower is being used, toilets are hard to find. The tours the hostel recommended were average, partially the Ourika Valley which was a day of touts. Tiny lockers. One power point per room. Incredibly cramped rooms. I don't how why this gets such a high rating
Located a short walk from the medina and square, but arguably for the best as its in a much quieter and more peaceful area. Great views from the terrace and really friendly staff willing to help at all times!
You will love place if you boast a sleeve tattoo, love a sausage fest and enjoy being hosted by a pathetic excuse for a staff. It was truly humorous how arrogant the staff were, particularly the bar staff, namely the annoying American who got emotional when people were not silent during his boring and long announcements over the microphone. If you are a true traveler do not stay here. If you like to party enjoy the cockfest. Wish I had more characters to explain how truly pathetic the staff is.
This place seems to get unwarrantly low reviews. I didn't come across any of the uncleanliness that people go on about. Staff can come across as a little rude but will always help. Great atmosphere in the common room for meeting people
This place looks a lot better on the website. For some reason it is the most humid building I've been in in Europe. The rooms are boiling hot, as is the basement. Corridors get steamy from the showers. The corridors are also really noisy. Rooms have no lockers and I saw many times random people walking through to the rooms. Overall the place feels more like a hospital wing in an area full of junkies and drunks. Atmosphere isn't bad in the common room

Best hostel I've stayed in. Feels more like you're staying at a friends place with all the comforts of a nice home. Everything is really clean and well maintained and the staff feel more like fellow guests, making sure everyone has a good time. The only room for improvement I can suggest is Chris' ping pong skills!
Booked this hostel in November originally for one night but due to train delays we only managed to stay a day. This didn't bother the manager who was very happy and welcoming to us anyway. He let us have our room for the day so we could shower and rest, leave our bags and head to the Taj which was only a short walk. Clean and great rooms!
