Samesun is in a great location. Exactly where you want to be when you're staying in Vancouver. Staff were so helpful. I ended up staying here far longer than I originally intended. The bagels and muffins in the free breakfast are amazing also!!

Flamingo was in a great location. Staff were really cool. Wish we could've stayed longer to get to know them better! Great atmosphere around the hostel. Cool decor too!

Loved this place! We attended a traditional Polish cooking class held by one of the staff (Bjam? I know that's not right, but it was something like that!) and it was awesome!! Bathrooms are situated a bit far from the dorm rooms, but hey, you deal with it.

Great location. Close to/in gorgeous Old Town, and close to the bus and train stations. The free walking tour we did from there was amazing! Would highly recommend it. Also really appreciated the free PC-use and inc. breakfast!

This hostel is in a great area.. it is, however, a bit further away from the city centre than first thought. They do hire out bikes for a cheap price though (up to 10 euros a day) so this distance from the centre, if you want to avoid using public transport, can be made in quicker time that way. Staff were great.

Hostel the Globe Center

This place was in a great location - easily accessed from Centraal Station and close enough to the action, without being so close you can't get to sleep for all the noise! Pity there was no self-catering kitchen (as eating out in Amsterdam is expensive!), but apart from that, it was great!!

Beautiful place with awesome vibe. Staff gave great advice on where to go in the area. No complaints - though there are insects in the area at night so remember to shut your windows to prevent being bitten!!

The insects referred by Emily is the normal mosquito. Please have insect repellent handy when visiting south africa during summer season. Also not that we are a malaria free area.

The staff were really helpful, and the restaurant attached next door was really good for a quick snack (although they run out of a lot of their food later in the day). Good for a one night stopover en route to Zanzibar - 20 min walk to the ferry (just walkable with a heavy pack).
