Average hostel. No A/C in the common areas at all. It´s clean and there are security lockers in all the rooms.
Fantastic place. Really clean and comfortable rooms with big lockers and a beautiful chilled out pool and bar area. Restaurant does great breakfasts and pasta dishes. Not in Santa Marta centre but right next to a big shopping mall with ATMs and big supermarket. The bus stop to go Tayrona, Palomino and Taganga is just round the corner and it costs less than getting them in town. Kept coming back again and again,
The owners are great and really make the place fantastic place to stay. Very knowledgeable on the area and can provide information on anything you're interested in. The also organize transfers to Jeri direct from the hostel for the same price as getting the bus from the station. Good breakfast and very clean. The 3-person female dorm is very hot though, as it has no external windows and a small fan.
Great breakfast with sausage and eggs until 12pm. Small pool, but we still managed to fit in almost the entire hostel during free caipirinha hour anyway. Helpful staff and a great Moroccan chill out room.
I was the only person at the hostel at the time as it was low season so there was no atmosphere.
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast and excellent outdoor pool area. Dorms have plenty of space and brilliant long balconies to lounge in. Movie nights/afternoons when it rained was also very much appreciated. Hostel is in an area where there really isn't very much along the way of markets or restaurants. But very good for chilling out and going to the gorgeous Campeche beach.
Great place, a bit far from the beaches but close to everything else. Bus stop is just round the corner anyway. Amazing breakfast, I counted 9 kinds of fruit one morning as well as the cheese and ham toasties, cereal, coffee and cake. Definitely recommended.
Good hostel overall, decent facilities. There's no where near enough indoor communal space for all the dorm spaces they have though. This might be fine most of the summer when it's sunny but a problem if it rains.
Fantastic place. Great location in the forest and close to the beach. Staff great fun and helpful. One of my favorite hostels in South America. good value for money as well.
Good set up, could really do with some more bathrooms though. Not a good place to stay if you're not planning on partying all night. Bar area in which people drink til late is right next to the dorm rooms.
Fantastic place. Staff very friendly and helpful. The free wine is a good opportunity to meet other people at the hostel. Showers are amazing! Would definitely stay here again.
Great building and location. Staff very friendly and helpful and brilliant breakfast! The negative things would be that you can hear what's going on in pretty much any part of the hostel, including reception and the rooms next door. Not the best place to stay if you want a good night's sleep. Also, there were no power points in the room itself which meant sitting in the common areas waiting for things to charge.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely go to the asado for 90 pesos - the atmosphere is great and there's plenty of wine included. A bit hard to find initially but the location is pretty good. Great building with lots of character although could do with putting up non-white curtains in the rooms as it's broad daylight so early.
