Miss A is like the saving grace for this hostel. She is helpful and goes out of her way to try and help you out with tips and tours in the area. The owner Mitch seemed a little sketchy especially after a couple bottles of rum. The was a cockroach in the room...and a couple on the ground floor too. If you have to stay overnight in the city it works but I wouldnt stay any longer if i had to!
The staff are a little "in their own world" at this hostel much friendlier and helpful at the Siem Reap mad monkey. Its also located quite a bit from anything going on, so if you dont mind A $1/$2 tuk Tyneside then its pretty good. The restraint had some good food and the bar upstairs was pretty neat, was a little wierd that half the hostel is across the street from the other half. Good party atmosphere and decent price I would remlcomend this place to mostly the 21 and younger crowd though.
Mostly early 20s people there. Great party atmosphere the pool side bean bag area is what makes this hostel for me, after a day of walking the temples that pool is divine!
Stayed in two other hostels while in Siem Reap (didnt know if was a Khmer New Year in April) and this one was my favorite! The indoor pool and bar area is a nice chill area set up so other travelers can meet and talk to each other, Pub street is about a 8 minute walk across the river so is pretty convenient if you wanted to go there as well.
Nice location for the area and the room was a pretty good deal, showers were hot and after a long day of walking around Petra that is always good! Bed mattress was "sunk in" but was okay for a hostel. Free WiFi is always welcome! Never ate there so not sure what that was like and there is not a bar there like it said in hostelworlds "facilities" section. All in all if you just want a cheap place to crash its all right :-)
The towel animals in my room each day were awesome! Thanks for the great stay in Luxor! Oh but I wouldnt use the Hotel in Aswan that was part of the tour I booked through you guys....that place was a total dive, I think it was called Ramesses.
The staff was very helpful in advice and tour options thanks! :-)
