Friendly hostel, well located just outside the beautiful old town. It may not advertise itself as a party hostel, but if you want to sleep before 1-2pm definitely bring earplugs. Also you need to ask for your room to be cleaned and for the air con to be turned on. That said it was friendly, staff were helpful and breakfast good (pancakes and fresh coffee)

Decent hostel in the middle of town. Felt very secure, nice staff, good wifi, good breakfast. Didn't stay long as we were flying to Galapogas but it was a good place to stay the night.

We really enjoyed our stay at la casa de maruja. We were picked up from the bus terminal and really made to feel at home. Big room, spotless, good breakfast, loads of really good useful info on walks / trekking options. You need a taxi to get into town (about 4 soles) but these are very easy to pick up. Would recommend to stay here.

Decent hostel if you're going to stay in nasca. Very secure, good shower and working wifi. We were met at the bus terminal which was good as everyone is trying to get you to get into their taxi. Very friendly multilingual owner too!

Bit of a mixed bag. Good facilities and a great location. Comfortable bed, great shower, and working wifi. No real atmosphere though and rather expensive. When we arrived they didn't have our reservation and the first room they showed is stank of smoke. Also it costs more to book on hostelworld than if you walk through the door.

Better than we expected after our salt flats trip. Good sized common area. Right in the middle of town, without it being loud, good showers. WiFi wasn't working when we were there.

Mamatierra Hostel

Fairly good hostel. Not a bad place to stay but nothing to make it stand out either. Looking at reviews of others I think this is a theme in San Pedro. WiFi worked well, plenty of hot water, breakfast left a bit to be desired. If you do stay the directions provided by the hostel from the bus terminal are useless. Don't try to use them. See if you can photograph the map in the kiosk of the terminal and use that to find the hostel. It's not too far!

Only stayed for one night, but it seemed like a good enough hostel. Right in the middle of where all the hostels were, with good wifi and a decent shower.

Pro's, Good location, very helpful staff, good wifi, nice roof terrace area to chill out Con's Tiny kitchen so if you want to cook its very difficult. Big hostel so bathrooms are used heavily at peak times and can get pretty messy (despite regular cleaning from hostel staff

Good location, very friendly and helpful member of staff with good recommendations. Bathroom not the cleanest, and wifi a bit patchy, but the room was warm, the shower was good and the bed was very comfortable. Just what we needed after a few days trekking

Good hostel, we'd definitely recommend it! It's clean, offers a good breakfast and has good cooking facilities. The atmosphere was really friendly and the staff were excellent. They were really helpful with planning our next destinations, excursions from here and treks. Also try the bbq if it's on as it's very good!

No one there to let us in when we arrived other than another traveller. We booked a double room and got a dorm (to ourselves though). It didn't feel particularly secure, and we looked forward to leaving. On top of this it was the most expensive place we have stayed by some way!

Dear, We are sorry to hear that our Hostel didn't fit your needs. I'm aware of what happened that day and I wanted to mention that the person that let you in it wasn't another traveller, but somebody that lives at the hostel for a long term and looks after our receptionist leaves. I also wanted to let you know that the room that you stayed has 3 single beds and is not a shared dorm (6 beds). This room is also sold as a double twin room, which is the room you booked.
