Quick Tube trip to central London. The staff was friendly, it had clean rooms and bathrooms, fun bar downstairs. Favorite thing about it? It has curtains on all the beds, so when lights are on/people are reading/people are milling about your room, your sleep isn't disturbed. It's pretty great.

The location was unbeatable- right in the heart of the city. Everything was walkable. The rooms/bathrooms were nothing to write home about, but they got the job done and it never felt unclean or unsafe. The coffee shop they run is dramatic overpriced and over-touristy. The bar is laid out so that you end up only sitting with the people you came in with... which is lame. It was the hardest place to meet new people of any hostel we stayed at in Europe. Overall, the location is worth it.

We had an outstanding room- spacious, clean, quiet, safe. The hostel itself is also outstanding. Feels much more like a hotel than a hostel. The location is a little far out of the central sites, but it's an incredibly quick walk to public transportation that takes you anywhere. I was mildly annoyed by how long it took to talk to the front desk- I waited for more than 10 mins 3 separate times. The bar has great food, but we had a hard time meeting new people due to the restaurant layout.

Gosh I just LOVE Wombats. This one, like the rest, is clean, safe, and has phenomenal staff. The location was superb, the bar is fun, and the kitchen they provide for guests is OUTSTANDING. They have a million pots and pans and utensils of all kinds, plus lots of free bread and pasta and such to cook with. The booze at the bar is super cheap, and the area around it also has great food and drink deals. It can't recommend Wombats enough.

Whoa we had a terrible experience here. While the location was good and the room was clean, we had the misfortune of being placed (knowingly on the part of the staff) with a homeless woman who smelled terrible and was definitely crazy. When we complained at midnight about her incessant shouting, a staff member moved us to another all girls room- where we found a homeless man. When we complained in the morning, they realized he had snuck in because there is no security at all. I could go on & on.

There isn't enough space here to say all the positive things about this hostel. Of the 20ish hostels we stayed at, this was far and away the best one for every imaginable reason. The bar is fun and friendly and affordable, the rooms were great, the location outstanding, the staff was the best I have encountered (even in 5 star hotels). Stay here. There simply can't exist a better place to stay in Munich. Thanks Wombats!!

I cannot recommend this hostel enough. I have never encountered such friendly, helpful staff anywhere (hotels included). The bar was the best we experienced on our entire 3 month journey. The location was great (short walk to everything), the rooms were great, the security was impeccable (you key in with your key card to: hostel, hallway, room, and personal locker. It's simple & super safe), everything was clean. One improvement? There is no wi-fi in the rooms & you must pay to use the computers

If you're in Nice, you need to be in old town by the beach. Which means you need to stay here. We stayed at both this hostel and their sister hostel (Villa St. Exupery Gardens). Both are great hostels, but this one FAR AND AWAY wins the awards for location and atmosphere. It's completely worth the extra money. They have a fun bar, a great movie room, a usable kitchenette, it's safe, it's clean... We really enjoyed this hostel and I highly recommend it.

This hostel "does the trick". It's nothing to write home about, good or bad. The location is not great, but everything is walkable. It's through the red light district and a long walk to the old part of town, but do-able. The staff was not terribly friendly, but helped out when they had to. Rooms were clean and they had lockers, which was great. Only half the showers worked and they didn't have much of a kitchen to speak of. No bar either. It. was. fine.
