NYC Summer Dorms

New York, USA

Huge room for three people - ie. no bunk beds, a lot of space for your stuff and there was also a desk and a couch! Air conditioning. definitely a bargain for the amount of money you pay (25$ per night in NY!). Really close to metro station. Breakfast and dinner included in the price but I didn't have the chance to try it. This accomodation is inside a nice university campus so security is seriously enforced and meeting new and different people is really easy. Really recalled my student days :)

Q4 Hotel

New York, USA

Location is just fine, nothing fancy, nothing bad. In front of the metro station, so it's quite comfortable to get basically everywhere. My room was small for 6 people, no elevators and steep staircases but we had toilet and shower in the room. Very clean and secure. Staff was really nice and available.

Adelaide Hostel and Hotel

San Francisco, USA

Good hostel, tiny rooms with few space, great kitchen with breakfast in the morning, great location in SF downtown (3 blocks from Union Square). Activities are organized. Staff is ok.

Pros: fun, clubbing, walking distance beach/clubs, location, social initiatives, making new friends, great time for both solo travellers and groups of friends. Cons: loud music all the time (sometimes you might want to chill), very small overcrowded rooms, bathrooms are per room but poor.
