The facilities themselves are nothing to write home about, but it's a great place to meet other travelers, especially if you're traveling alone.

Great atmosphere, great staff, great rooftop, great all-around hostel. Stay here. You won't regret it.

The hostel checks out on every level--it's centrally located, it's clean, it has great wifi--but the owner, Srdjan, makes the experience here. He's a blast! If you stay here, he'll likely insist you need to try rakija within the first few minutes of being there, and if you're lucky enough to try his goulash, you will not be disappointed. He makes this hostel and the experience incredible.

Adnan and his wife are the two nicest hostel owners I have met in my 14 months of travel--fullstop. The room was big, clean, comfortable, and had a piping hot shower, which was much appreciated. The breakfast was by far the best we had in Turkey with lots to choose from and freshly made cakes and pastries on a few of the mornings. Adnan helped us make a bus reservation and even invited us out with his family on Republic Day. Top notch people and place.

I've stayed at several hostels in Istanbul, and this one is bar far the best, both in terms of it's facilities and atmosphere. It's clean and it has a bomb breakfast. Alex, who works up front, is the freaking man and takes the time to make your stay a good one

This place doesn't deserve the rating it has. It's frankly not a very good value. You can stay at far nicer places that have better breakfasts in better locations for the same price or cheaper.

The facilities are nothing to write home about, but this might have been the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed. Khai is the man and super, super helpful! This hostel really should be more popular than it is.
Thank you very much for you support

Hands down the nicest, friendliest hostel I've ever stayed at. I had a long layover in Bangkok the week after I stayed here, and so I came back to hang out. The woman at the front desk remembered me and made me Thai tea and fried little donut things. The location is perfect too: it's walking distance from Koh San road, but it's far enough that you're away from all the craziness.
Thank you for being one of the most cheerful and funniest guest we ever met. Thank you for the wonderful friendshiip and it's very great opportunity to meet you in Bangkok for two occasions of your stay .

Weird bathroom situation with the shower and toilet combined, but the spectacular view from the terrace makes up for it!

Unbeatable location, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, great facilities, and a wonderful breakfast to boot. Sultan's inn cannot be beat for its value.
