staff were all really helpful and friendly. i received a great welcome. im not really sure why we all need to leave at 11 am and cant return until 4:30 pm buti guess i would have gone out exploring anyway so it didnt matter.the beds are super ordinary. very hard and the sheets are very old and not big enough to fit the mattress. its a short walk to the bus stop and easy to get around by bus. its a little far to walk to the city.

Danny gave me one of the best welcomes I have ever had. the door opened and he took me upstairs and fed me full of pancakes then gave me a full tour of the place. all the staff here were so fantastic. their heart was in the job and they really cared for all of us. it was a little community. the beds were super comfy and apparently i snored a little which i NEVER do, so i must have slept well. clean bathrooms. 4 blocks from union station and a view of capitol from the window. love it here...

great owner. good directions and runs a cool place. great front garden by the water. it is off season so i know why the pool is empty. the rooms were pretty good and the beds were really comfy. bus stop right at the front to take you anywhere and shops every where nearby. restaurants and supermarkets across the road. old town is a heap of fun and a short bus ride up the road or 20 mins walk. id stay here again for sure. it doubles as a motel but the dorms were full of other traveleres.

beds were ordinary and none of the staff seemed to really care but they did their job alright. location was good and pancake breky was ok. but the $4 per bag per day for storage was pretty steep. in over 100 hostels in 103 countries ive never paid to store a bag. it is a party hostel and attracts that sort of people. its loud and silly and lots of movement late at night in the rooms. id probably pick another place next time i go but it was ok.

staff were busy but still helpful. great, free pancake breakfast, wifi only in the lobby not in the rooms. bedding was a little ordinary but for the price it was perfect and the location is on the main drag only a few blocks form the busy area. overall a great place for a backpacker on a budget to stay. the directions form the greyhound are wrong though. the easiest way is walk a few blocks to the airport bus station and take the bus marked 150 all the way to washington st and 5th. EASY! $2.35

staff were great. very friendly and helpful. warm welcome. very old run down building with horrible beds and dirty rooms. holes in walls, mouse traps in the kitchen. my room was warm but the whole building was a bit cold. antique tv and VHS to use. yuk bathrooms. my room only had permanent guests. so there was clothes and stuff everywhere. very strange and not a great stay.with some upgrade and renovation this could be a 5 star hostel. perfect building to start to create it. great location tho.

staff were a big disappointment. didnt seem to care about anything other than their mobile phone and knock off time. wifi was poor, bathrooms were disgusting. no breakfast, lots of brochures but no interest from staff to tell you about the city. great location in hollywood and across the road from the metro are the only upsides. this is a very average hostel with poor staff and service. i do not recommend this place. but i think they have parties regularly with free beer so it may suit some...

Great location and friendly staff. Rooms were very small and badly lit. Lockers were tiny with very little floor space to store bags. No hot water the entire 4 days I stayed. Luke warm at best. Free wifi in the lobby cafe with tables and chairs and games its not a bad place to stay but there are cheaper hostels within 5 minutes walk with much much better facilities. This place was the best hostel I have stayed it in a really long time. Everything is new. The bedding was so warm and the rooms were great with hot showers and good water pressure in the rooms. The common room has everything and the staff were all so helpful and spoke english well. Daniel is the owner/manager (I think) and he was really helpful.
