The positives of this hostel were that the staff were: all very friendly and helpful, the beds were very comfortable and had curtains you could draw for privacy and easy sleeping, and it is very well located in central London. The negatives were that it was huge and felt very institutional, and the common rooms were not very pleasant. Also, they didn't provide towels - they only sold them for 5 pounds each. A lot of things that come standard at most hostels were an extra charge here.
Very cosy hostel with a friendly staff, comfy beds, and nice common rooms. Just a short walk from the town center. We had a great stay here!
We stayed at the Red Nest Hostel just after it reopened, so a lot of the facilities were new and it looked beautiful! The hostel has a lot of nice touches, including both a strongbox and a big locker for each person in the room, and a designated basket for each room in the really nice kitchen. The breakfast was pretty standard, but the coffee was good and they offered fresh fruit so that was a plus. Not a lot of opportunities to meet people, but maybe that was just the vibe that week.
Granada Inn Backpackers had great rooms with comfortable beds and furniture, and nice bathrooms. The kitchen and common areas were cosy, and the staff members and volunteers were very friendly, fun, and helpful. Take advantage of their free walking tours and tapas tour!
