Not a bad place but certainly not the best. The manager tries sometimes to make conversations/cozy ambience but he can also be a bit tricky/eccentric and says wrong, controversial, touchy topics which might not be accepted by everyone. If I were manager there, I would also not charge extra for wifi. All in all, acceptable for if just for 1or2 nights

I didnt like that the price they show here on hostelworld is for HI members (Hostel International). For non-HI members, you will be charged extra $3 on top. I've stayed in dozens other hostels mostly in Latin America and some in Europe and never encountered such. Price shown on hostelworld is assumed non-member or without any sort of privilege/discount, those who are member gets discount below price shown here... felt a bit deceiving... maybe just me(?) other than that, was all good.

Hi Kosuke, I'm very sorry that you were surprised by the membership fee. It is explained when you make your reservation and in our confirmation email. We are part of Hostelling International, which is a membership-based association of hostels. The membership is the same all over the world. Most guests opt to buy a yearly membership if they don't already have one. It only costs $28 and with it you get a 2-nights for the price of one coupon that you can use in either New York, Boston, Washington, Chicago and other great cities. You would actually make money by buying a membership if you stayed 2 nights in one of those cities plus not have to pay the daily membership fee. it also comes with free travel insurance. I hope that helps!

Except for the fact that rooms/beds are placed as dorms like usual hostels, this place is pretty much a hotel. The lobby, the inner yard, staffs, all are great and goo ambience too,,, but is priced as such as well.

Miami Hostel

10-15min straight walk to the beach, very good. Most of the staff are nice people if you ever get to talk to them but they are running around fixing stuff all the time. Guests had to wait 30-40min just to ask for smallest matters. Its not bad for ppl who've been to Miami many times and knows everything. Its NOT recommended for others.

In the Caribs, I've been to Nassau-Bahamas, SanJuan-Puerto Rico, Willemstad-Curacao and several towns in Cuba and DominicanRep and in my opinion, this is the BEST hostel within this price range.

One of the staff was very helpful, another had a little language barrier when in English and also had no flexiblity enforcing tiniest strict rules. rooms were a bit small considering #beds in each room but kept clean.

I'm guessing they are just doing business for minimal living. didnt feel any sense of willingness to improve. Nothing good to write here. But also not terrible. understandable for its price. but I wont stay here again
