The Cranky Croc Hostel

Location fine, Candelaria is a nice enough area and is walking distance to restaurants, museums etc. The hostel has a bit of a weird layout - I booked a 4 bed dorm, but to access it you had to walk right through another, bigger dorm. This isn't great, especially for people in the room that is effectively a corridor! No bar but social activities organised and a good atmosphere. Cons: No breakfast, restaurant overpriced and average, charge for computers with Internet. I'm still coming back though!

Pleasantly surprised by this hostel. In a converted monastery so a beautiful building, rooms were spotless and spacious. Each bed has its own little shelf, light and power outlet - including the top bunks, which is great! The bar has a good atmosphere and is away from the rooms so it was easy to get a good night's sleep. Staff generally great. However, don't come if you're expecting something similar to Milhouse BA - it's very sociable but not one of the big party hostels in Cusco.

Great location in a nice neighbourhood really near the beach. A cool place, really easy to meet people as a solo traveller. The best caipirinhas too!
