Lovely place. Staff were incredibly friendly. Comfortable beds. Close to everything you would want to see.
Loved this place. Felt like a home away from home. Great breakfast. Only problem was that wifi signal did not reach room, needed to sit in reception.
Note that the hostel is for diving, and therefore is next to the sea and a 10 minute/7 dinar taxi ride from the city centre. The nearest ATM is a 15/20 minute walk away. Stayed one night. Door was jammed badly, and there was no door in front of the ensuite which was annoying - only a sheet, which fell down. Food was good - the salads were excellent.

Freedom Hostel was a lovely place to stay in the heart of Cairo. Very helpful and nice staff, clean rooms and nice bathroom. Wifi was 20 E.L.per night or 30 E.L. for wifi plus a bottle of water and some other things.
Lovely hotel, although you can get similar quality much closer to the sea in Alexandria, for cheaper.
One of my favourite hostels in Egypt. Looks kind of dingy from the outside, but friendly helpful staff, lovely room, amazon buffet breakfast an a beatiful rooftop terrace where you can chill out and drink/smoke. They let me leave my stuff there and use all the facilities after checkout an before my train.
Great, clean friendly place, extremely well organised. Centrally located. Good wifi. Small kitchen but clean and neat. Loved this place, one of my favourite hostels so far in the world.
