Great hostel with lovely staff. All clean and new
Lovely owner and staff who helped a lot with the booking of the many activities on offer in San Gil. Clean and pleasant hostel
Great hostel with friendly staff and lots of facilities including large outdoor area, hammocks, bar and sauna. Ended up staying a lot longer than planned as it has a good party vibe if you want to go out but also easy to get to sleep in quiet dorms if you want an early night. recommended.

Lovely hostel and staff with an amazing community feel to it, great breakfasts and dinners and spectacular views. Favourite hostel in a whole year of travelling South America!
Great hostel with fun Wednesday night on the rooftop. Someone smashed a glass in the pool during my stay though which meant it was closed all day - not the hostels fault but it was a real shame as it was swelteringly hot
Lovely hostel and girl on reception was fantastic with one of our group who needed medical attention. Recommended

Best pool of a hostel ever - deep enough to dive into for an instant hangover cure. Bar staff are great fun and you'll end up staying far longer than you planned - two and a half weeks nearly killed me and my bank balance but loved every minute!
Nice hostel in Central Lima - easy access on foot to many of the main attractions. Clean spacious dorms
Great party hostal (but not too wild), fantastic staff, good food. Only downside is no kitchen, and breakfast could be better...
Lovely hostal - room was amazing! Staff very helpful booking canyon trek. Good breakfast
Nice hostal with good private rooms
Nice hostal, good breakfast. Lots of traffic noise in one room but not a problem from a different room.
A lovely hostel with wonderful staff who are keen to help with any problems and give advice about Cusco and the surrounding areas. Perfect stop before Machu Picchu, with free luggage storage facilities. Great breakfast, and cooking facilities available.
A lovely little hostal with attentive staff, good rooms, excellent breakfast and lots of charm
Very fun hostel, always something going on. Great food, great bar, comfortable beds, helpful staff
When we arrived, man on reception said there was no room, despite us having a reservation. He made a huge point of saying "where am i going put you" and the showed us to the rooms we'd booked. Basically he couldn't be bothered to check us in as it was 11.30pm and he just wanted to sleep. Stale bread for breakfast. Freezing cold rooms (much colder than outside) shower was a trickle of water, though it was warm. Toilets and showers in same room, so always a queue. Cheap laundry facilities.
Staff are friendly when you get to know them, although they can be a little intimidating when they are all sat together! Good beds, nice rooms, very clean hostel. Kitchen is quite small, but well equipped

Great hostel, very cheap and dinner included! Two minutes walk from Salvador metro station, staff very helpful
Nice hostel, friedly staff always keen to chat to you. Clean hostel, good dorms
Very friendly staff, hostel could do with a few upgrades such as a computer, but good beds, decent breakfast, great location... all in all a good stay in valpo
Nice hostel with warm and comfy beds! Free dinner is an added bonus, and the friday night bbq was good too

Great hostel just three minutes from a metro station. Helpful staff and free dinner every night - fantastic value for money. Really comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Great breakfast.
Great location and staff (gonzalo was fantastic on reception!) nice chilled hostel - no problem bringing in your own alcohol, very clean and great garden. Asado is highly recommended!
Hands down best hostel I've ever stayed in - staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly (particularly Anna!), fantastic and often free events organised each night. Be sure to have the asado at least once - Gonzalo cooks the meat perfectly. Free glass of wine every night, no problem bringing your own alcohol into the hostel, though you can also buy it there. Supermarket one block away, great sun terrace, free use of washing machine... I can't recommend enough! But book early as it fills up!
Great hostel with friendly staff. Toilets were pretty dirty and smelt very bad, but that was the fault of those using them more than the cleaner. Good kitchen facilities
Fairly quiet and antisocial hostel: everyone in the common areas is sat glued to their technology, and the dorms are more like hotel rooms. Clean and spacious though.
Very fun hostel, great for meeting people. however, given the huge size of the hostel and the fact it was fully booked, there were only 4 hobs, 4 computers, and about 4 plates, forks, glasses etc. Also beware, a lot of the tours, club nights etc. are a LOT cheaper if not booked through the hostel: they charged 60 pesos for a wristband to a club, not telling people that's entry was free before 2am.
Great hostel, very friendly. Only down side was the internet was broken when I stayed.
Lovely hostel, ideally located and really helpful staff

Lots of cockroaches here... including one in my bed! Cheap and convenient for one night, but not for long term stays!
Best hostel yet - amazing staff (Thank you Ysa, Jaime, Danny etc!), free caipi every night, laptops to loan out, beautiful beach view, incredibly clean - such a fantastic few days at Barra! Thanks!
Best hostel I've ever stayed in! Staff were incredibly helpful, rooms were spacious and immaculate, beds had curtains round for privacy, bedding was soft and actually felt clean for once! Wifi available everywhere, not just in the common areas, lockers had plug sockets within them so you an safely leave your valuables to charge... all this and yet was also the cheapest hostel I've stayed in in Brazil! Only negative would be no air con in the dorm, but it wasn't too hot.
First night in this hostel I was put into a triple bunk which broke by falling through... not an encouraging start. After two nights I was able to move to a much better room, yet it was still the same price. Staff weren't too friendly, but the Geko beach front bar was a redeeming feature - great live music in the evenings and happy hour drinks.
Cleanest hostel Ive stayed in, and the best showers! Staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and actually seemed to know who was staying in the hostel and who wasn´t (highly secure). Large lockers to keep your stuff.
Slightly manic hostel, grumpy staff but great location, friendly guests and very cheap
Absolutely fantastic week spent in CabanaCopa for Carnaval 2013. Hostel was a little expensive at this time, but so was every other hostel. Staff were pretty awful however - it was really difficult to get any sort of information or help out of them.
