Arthy's Guesthouse

A little bit more water pressure in the showers and this place would get 5 stars (at least it was hot for a few minutes). Great location, great staff, private room was perfect, fabulous indoor sun terrace on the top floor, wifi good (a little slow at times but it worked, so most important). Short walk from the major bus terminal and a short walk to main square and tourist areas.

Good location, good staff - although we booked a tour and the tour company didn't know much about us coming, so we had to share equipment (that said, do make sure you book the sandboard & moon valley joint tour, it is amazing). The showers were hot, but someone had broken the shower curtain rail before me. No staff were there early in the morning so I had to try and fix it myself. Wifi was turned off at night and also caused issues for our onward bookings. Beds and common areas were great.

This place is amazing. Breakfast is incredible, the (free!!) empanada class is awesome, the free wine each night is fab, as is the BBQ. Make sure you DEFINITELY book the horse riding with Juan, he is legendary and this will be a highlight of your trip. We stayed in a private room which was huge, the bathrooms were cleaned throughout the day and there was hot water. Wifi worked and all in all a fab place. Oh and the free washing machine was awesome. Don't stay anywhere else!

A lovely little place which feels really cosy. We stayed in the depths of winter but the bed was still warm. It's fresh when you go outside to the bathroom but hell, it's winter! Hot showers, good wifi, great breakfast, lovely staff, and a fab location a short walk from everything in Cafayate. If you have a car, it's worthwhile heading to Domingo Molina in Cafayate, for the wine AND the views! Referred by the owners of the hostel and didn't disappoint. Two thumbs up.

Chill House

A fabulous place, the staff were immensely helpful with where to go/what to see in Buenos Aires, the rooms amazing (we had a private room upstairs, huge!) - the only thing I can suggest is a wiper or bath mat for the bathroom so we don't trudge our dirty feet / wet floor everywhere. Hot showers, good wifi, close to metro - oh and make sure you ask directions and shop at the Chinese Supermarket! Amazing wines and food and super cheap.

The first stop on our South American trip and the staff at this place couldn't be better. The most delightful, fun, helpful and wise staff - thank you Bo, Luisa and the amazing Dom. The rooms are good, the showers are hot (just ask them to show you how they work), the hostel is super safe and groups of us met at the bar in the hostel and then went out to lapa and to the boat cruise. So close to supermarkets, the beach and the metro. An awesome spot and hostel in Rio.
