Clean. Large lockers in the dorm. Ensuite was fine. Very cheap, which was the main reason we booked it. Staff were nice. Very good overall.
Stayed for 2 nights in the 14 bed dorm and slept 4 hours combined. I'm unsure if it's common of the hostel but the other people in the room were the most inconsiderate I've come across. Lights on at 7am and rustling through their bags for hours. The other bathroom in the dorm wasn't useable and judging from the lock on the door has been that way for a while. Considering I went out both nights this hostel was clean and ok for that, but it would have been great to actually sleep when I was in bed.
The room was clean. Bathroom facilities were excellent. Comfortable bed. Staff were nice. Location was ok, it's a bit far away from the main pickup place if you're going to do a Cappadocia tour.
Perfect location to see the travertines and Hierapolis, a 2 minute walk. The staff were lovely. Very clean.
Clean, comfortable beds, good location. Only stayed for 1 night and it was good.
Very clean and modern. Fantastic common room, with computers, a TV, a reading section and facilities to cook. Location was great. Very nice hostel.
A perfect location - a 10 minute or so walk from the national park. Beds were comfy. Rooms were clean. Facilities were fine. Restaurants were close. A great place to stay to see the national park.
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. The atmosphere is incredible - it is so easy to meet people and once you do, it feels like you're staying over a friend's house. Ryu the owner is a fantastic guy, and the other staff, Stephane and Ronnie, are excellent too. I was in Seoul three times and stayed here each time.
An incredibly clean and modern hostel, my favourite that I stayed in in Taipei. The beds were extremely comfortable. Location was good. The common room was nice and had a huge TV.
Staff were nice. Location was good, as was security. All the other guests in the 6 bed dorm were Chinese and spoke no English, therefore I felt a little out of place. It was an old hostel, in need of renovation. Rooms were clean, but the hostel was a bit rundown.
A small, apartment hostel. Beds were comfortable. Lounge area was very good. It's nice that they give you free bread and condiments throughout the day.
Location was excellent. Staff were nice. The beds were very uncomfortable. The mattresses are too small for the bed frame and they are so thin that, after you've been laying there for a while, you can feel the bed slats below you. The TV on the 5th floor was nice. Lounge area is very empty but could be good with something in it.
Beds were comfy. Staff were nice. Location was fine for someone with a JR pass, but a bit far from things at night and without one. Very clean and modern facilities.
A very unique hostel. When you arrive to check in you meet the staff and all the other guests in the hostel, then you're offered a communal dinner, which was very nice and a good experience. The staff were excellent. Location was great. Costwise though it was the most expensive hostel I stayed in Japan.
Excellent for the price. Very clean rooms, comfy beds, staff were nice. So cheap too, best value for money I've come across in Japan.
Excellent hostel. The common room was fantastic, to watch movies and play games, much needed after a lot of sightseeing. Easy to meet people. Very clean. Comfy beds. The staff were fantastic - special mention to Akira, who apart from being very friendly, after much hunting found my rail pass for me, which I`d given up hope of finding. Thank you!
Very clean, the location was easy to get to from the tram, but definitely buy a day pass for the tram, otherwise you`ll waste money if you don`t get one. The main thing I liked about this hostel was the staff - the friendliest I`ve met. They advised me on things to do, gave me a discount card and were just generally really nice people.
Clean, good staff and the location was fine, in between the station and the main streets. Everyone kept to themselves, though I may be biased because of very unsociable roommates.
I only stayed for a night but it was fine. Comfy bed, clean, all you could need.
Very clean and modern. Comfortable beds. Large rooms. Only a small sliding door in the bed frame to put your valuables, where you can only really fit a passport. The only thing letting it down is the location, which is in a dead area void of even restaurants and a fair walk from the nearest subway.
The most relaxing hostel I've ever stayed in. The bathhouse was phenomenal. Beds were very comfy. A lot of amenities offered, such as free razors, which was great. Staff were nice. Location is well placed for seeing the castle.
Location was a minute from the subway. Capsule beds were large and comfortable. Staff were nice. A bit expensive though I thought.
Very clean. Comfortable beds. Staff were nice. Location was pretty good, kinda far from the main stuff but it was only a subway journey away I suppose. It's essentially a hotel though, so no real vibe to the place.
Booked 2 nights and ended up staying for a week, the entirety of my Beijing trip. A nice hostel. The courtyard is a good place to hang out. The dorms are good and comfy. Staff are nice, the daytime staff seem to have better English skills than the early-morning and late-night staff. One thing that really annoyed me though was that the hostel provides lockers, but they charge 1 RMB every time you want to open it. It's a small amount, but security should be provided as standard by a hostel.
I stayed in a dorm, which had a bunk bed and 2 singles, but because there were no other occupants I slept in one of the large and comfortable single beds. Extremely clean and well decorated. Location was great for seeing Shaolin. The staff member I met was a great guy and friendly. Notes for directions - it says "Shaolin Tourist Resort" on the sign, not the village name. The bus from Zhengzhou only goes to the main bus station, but the #8 to Shaolin goes from there. Reception is at #20.
Hostel was fine, however, I thought it was very overpriced. Dorm room and beds were average for the high price. The facilities in the hostel were excellent, TV rooms, pool table, table tennis. Clean. Staff were nice. The location was good.
Very social, easy to meet people. Comfortable dorm beds. Staff were all really nice. Very clean, both the room and the bathroom, the cleaners do an excellent job.
The dorm beds were the most comfortable I've stayed in, very nice. Location was very good. Security was taken seriously with lockers and keycards to individual floors.
I stayed in a single bed in a dorm, which was very comfy. Good location in Guilin, an easy walk to the main centre. Only spent a night here, but it was very suitable.
I didn't stay on this occasion due to illness, however, the staff were kind enough to not charge me for missing the booking. I did stay here on a later date and this review score is the same as my other review.
Comfortable beds, both dorm and double. Good social area to hang out and play beer pong and pool. The staff were some of the nicest I've met, particularly Fen and Vivian. Location was fine but you had to endure the busyness of West Street every time you left. Activities offered were good. I found it quite hard to find initially, its in an alleyway off of West Street. Highly recommended.
An apartment building with several rooms in it. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice view over Guangzhou too. Would recommend, though the social side depends solely on the other occupants of the apartment.
The setup was interesting, it basically being an apartment with dorm rooms in it. It was good though. Beds were comfy. Location was excellent. Clean. Staff were nice.
Comfortable, new beds. Location is near the MRT. Staff are friendly. Not a very sociable hostel.
Very homely feeling hostel. The staff were great. Free fruit and cake throughout the day. Very clean. Beds were comfortable. Location was perfect, close to everything. Everyone kept to themselves though and it was hard to meet people. Lots of couples - for a couple it would be perfect, for a single traveller looking to socialise, not so good if that's your main objective with a hostel.
Very clean and modern hotel. Strange setup with the dorm rooms, with two single beds, then a dorm bunk in another room. Facilities were excellent. Location was good. Staff were nice. Not very sociable though, basically impossible to meet anyone unless they are in your room.
Decent enough hostel. Nothing amazing, but it was fairly clean, even though the dorm smelt a bit. Beds were ok. Staff were very friendly and the location was good, next to the shopping centre.
Very clean and modern hostel. Staff were great. Location was good, near to the station. Lockers in the rooms are huge. Beds are large and comfy. Lots of space to yourself, even in the 8 beds. Only problem was one mentioned in a prior review, that everyone staying there seems to keep to themselves, so its not a very sociable hostel.
Very nice guesthouse. Rooms were lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast in the morning. WiFi was spotty.
Standard party hostel. Annoying that in the dorms they turned the air conditioning off during the hottest part of the day, it was turned on at 7pm and turned off at 10am sharp. Dorms were average. It was clean. Location was good.
Very clean dorm rooms with good beds. Not very busy when I was there so hard to gauge the social side.
The dorms were small and claustrophobic, hot too. The location was right next to the beach but this brought the cleanliness down due to sand being everywhere. Seemed like a social place but we only stayed for a night then moved elsewhere, so hard to gauge.
Hard to review some things because we were the only ones in the hostel at the time, due to it being non-full moon time. We were upgraded from a dorm to a twin room and it was very nice. Shower facilities were a bit grim, but passable. Staff were nice.
Very clean, good beds, good facilities and a 7-11 directly in front, which is very convenient.
Started and finished my Thailand trip here - one of the best hostels I've stayed in. All the expected things were covered (friendly staff, clean, easy to meet people etc) but on top of that there were plenty of little touches. Free whisky shots before going out, free meal nights, free soap and shampoo in the shower, free use of the computers, a place to store your phone on the top bunk etc etc. Just a great hostel.
Extremely clean, only letdown in that regard was the kitchen, which was very small and seemed to get dirty. Facilities were really nice. Stayed in a double with an en-suite to start with, which was really nice, then moved to a very spacious 8 bed dorm. It feels like a hotel, and people tend to keep to themselves. Staff are all very helpful and friendly about from one jobsworth on reception.
A very relaxed feeling hostel. It's small so it's very easy to meet people. The staff are all really nice. The location is ideal, right in the centre of Kaikoura. Rooms are decent, they have a tendency to smell, though that may have been because the other people in the room had their surfboards in them and in the other room he had some cycling gear. Kitchen was good. Overall, a nice place to stay.
A hostel that felt more like you were staying in someones house. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I stayed for 1 night, and while it was good for that, I couldn't have seen myself staying there for any longer, as it was too far away from anything and like I mentioned, it felt strange. Ideal for a night coming from or going to the airport, but no longer.
I only spent 1 night here so it was hard to gauge, however from what I experienced it was a good hostel. Rooms were clean, security was good and staff were friendly.
Staff were very professional and helpful. Location wasn't great, kinda far from places. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel. It was clean and facilities were good. I thought the dorm was a bit overpriced. The wi-fi was very bad in the rooms. It cut off constantly. The rooms were SWELTERING hot. You'd be sweating after being in there for a minute. It was a nice place but as a single traveller after the people from my room left I didn't know what to do with myself. Ideal for couples I think.
A very hotel like hostel. Very clean. Great security, a key card to get to all levels and lockers in the room under the bed. Location is mixed - in the centre so convenient but very noisy because of it. Hard to socialise, it doesn't seem geared towards that. Rooms were hot. I was bizarrely moved from my room at 22:45 on the last night, when a 5th person walked into our 4 bed dorm. When I said no one notified me, I was told "well, you know now".
Security was excellent, very large lockers for every bed in the dorm. Beds were comfortable. The room was spacious enough. Location was great, about a 20-30 minute walk to the Blue Mountains. The one staff member I dealt with was extremely helpful and friendly. Free laundry, which is incredibly welcome. A free pool table to use. It was clean but it felt like some renovation could greatly improve things.
Good, straightforward hostel. Excellent location, very near to the beach. The staff I met were all very friendly. The room was clean. En-suite bathroom was good. They had activities to do every night, such as bingo and trivia, which made it easy to meet people. Wi-fi was expensive. Security was based on trust as there were no lockers. I was bored by the town but I was happy to stay here.
Very homely feeling hostel. Staff are great, people are great. Kitchen has just been refurbished and it is very good. It's a few stops away on the train, so buy a MyMulti if you're staying here for a little while.
Excellent facilities. Very clean. Great location. Lockers in room are very good - bring along a combination lock. Atmosphere felt a bit pretentious and not all that friendly, in regards to other guests. May have been because it was the first place I stayed and I was unsure about everything, as well as the fact that it's a huge place, which leads to disconnect.
