Black Sheep Hostel Medellin, Medellin, Colombia
9.7
15th Apr 2016

The Black Sheep hostel is a great hostel in a great part of town. The hostel has great facilities for cooking and chilling out (TV room, a kitchen as well as a roof terrace) - it's also well located near the metro station and El Poblado for bars, restaurants. The staff are also exceptional, and helped in arranging and suggesting tours around the city, as well as football matches and taxis. Highly recommended.

El Viajero Cartagena Hostel, Cartagena, Colombia
6.6
12th Apr 2016

I stayed at the El Viajero Cartagena and had a good stay but found that it could be a lot better. The hostel is in a good location, but there are a few issues with the atmosphere (the bar doesn't really have one) and the rooms only have AC on in the evening (which is a pain) - the hostel could do with some improvements but it's ok

View Property Reply

Thanks for your review! We have free daily activities at the bar, so people can have a great time there. Since Colombia is having some issues with the electricity service, we only turn the ACs on from 5Pm till 11AM the next day, nonetheless if the guest wants the AC on in their room, we can turn it on while they're there

The Dreamer Hostel, Santa Marta, Colombia
9.7
10th Apr 2016

I think the Dreamer is the best hostel I have stayed in Colombia - the hostel is a nice chilled out hostel away from the centre of Santa Marta, but not far in a taxi. It's also by a big shopping mall. The hostel itself has great on-site facilities, including a swimming pool, a bar and a great on-site restaurant. Also, the hostel itself is great at arranging tours. Highly Recommended.

La Brisa Loca, Santa Marta, Colombia
8.9
9th Apr 2016

La Brisa Loca is a great hostel in a central location - the party at the weekend is the place to be, and the hostel itself is well equipped with facilities including it's bar, and swimming pool. The only thing that needs to be mentioned is that the party does go on till late at the weekend so don't plan on having an early night as you will be kept up.

Ocean Blue Hostel, Miami, USA
8.9
24th May 2013

The hostel is in a great location, overlooking Ocean drive. The hostel rooms aren't the greatest as they seem to actually be 12 bed dorms with a shared bathroom. However the hostel itself is great, with a good lounge, friendly staff and a great rooftop bar overlooking ocean drive. There is also a Jacuzzi on the rooftop and a BBQ on everynight.

Definitely a place to go to for a party! Every night there was something going on, and the staff do try and get everyone involved. The hostel also offers free meals everyday, though not the greatest to be honest. There is also a TV room with a connection to Netflix for a large collection of movies. No real bar, but the hostel does have a fridge with beers in. Rooms were nice with en-suite facilities. Location was approx 2 blocks from the beach.

The hostel is in a great location in Miraflores, near lots of bars and restaurants. It's also fairly near the beach and not far from the metro station to head to downtown. The bar and staff are really good, with lots of deals and the food served there is pretty nice and reasonable.

LOKI Backpacker Hostel, Cusco, Peru
7.1
6th May 2013

The hostel was pretty nice, with a nice courtyard and a big bar to meet people. The hostel also offers some good tours. The only downside is that the hostel is on a hill and quite far (compared to other hostels in Cusco) from the centre of Cusco, such as the Plaza de Armas, and other central parts.

The hostel is in a brilliant location, near to the main square and all the local tour operators for Colca Canyon. The staff are also very friendly, with good local knowledge. The bar is pretty good, and the location is also close to all local bars and restaurants. There's also a courtyard to enjoy during the day and a TV room with a good selection of films to watch.

This a great hostel, with a great atmosphere and a brilliant place to meet people. It{s right in the centre of town, making it very handy to visit tour agencies for the salt plains, as well as restaurants and bars, etc. The staff are brilliant as well '- very good at involving everyone. Only downside is that it{s pretty expensive when compared to the rest of Chile, but San Pedro is in general anyway!

11th Apr 2013

I stayed in the hostel for few nights, and generally had a good opinion. The staff are very nice and very helpful, and helped arrange or inform about local tours.. They also had a TV with full satellite which is good for sports, etc. Breakfast was ok. Main issue was that the dorm I stayed in (The crashpad) was also access to the room above so had double the traffic through (especially at night). Also, the shower head broke from the en sutie and never seemed to have been fixed.

Hostel suites Obelisco was my first hostel in BA. The location was great, as were the staff. Also, there didn{t appear to be a lot of interaction with the other guests and not a great atmosphere to meet other people.

22nd Jan 2013

I arrived for one night as I had a connecting flight the next day to Manaus, so wanted to stay somewhere near the airport. I choose Friday{s hostel for this reason. The hostel is ok, nothing to make me want to return. One member of staff spoke English, though she was not available when I checked in. The room itself was quite basic. Finally I booked an airport transfer to take me to the airport the next day, but it never appeared so I had to take a taxi instead. Minor issues, but all count.
