Nice place to relax in Lusaka with pool, good bar, good restaurant (all meals are very nice - except the burgers are just standard). Only drawback: matress in double room was pretty much worn out. Besides that: would book again.

Nice Place, conveniently located to Supermarkets, Local Market, Restaurants and Bars. Clean and well equipped Kitchen, friendly staff make it a good place to stay in Lusaka. Double room feels overpriced, but the dormitories are good value. Breakfast is included and okay. Would go there again.

New management - the very friendly owners are back.. They put a lot of effort into the place and it shows. Nice Rooms, nice athmosphere. Kitchen is okay, but you can buy meals from the Hostel anyways for a good price and it tastes good. The location is a little bit outside town - so you need to take a taxi. Shoestrings being the alternative but it is VERY noise until midnight every day.

Nice Hostel with excellent location on Long St. The roof terrace is quite spectacular, good place to chill out in good weather conditions. They have an excellent bar there too. Rooms are very nice (we stayed in two different double rooms), individually themed. Plenty showers and bath rooms, well equipped kitchen & helpful staff on any touring or travel needs. Great place, will go there again.

One of the best Hostels - ever. We have seen many in the past 8 months on our RTW trip. Friendly, very safe, superclean, quiet location in Kings Cross, close to everything, great for meeting people. They have daily night outs to pubs, great discount tickets for Sydney attractions, Job board. Nice staff & good athmosphere. Large Kitchen & free breakfast is good. What else do you want? We had an issue with our bill that was gladly resolved - helpful staff also if there is a problem.

Smugglers Cove 4 Bed Dorms are great value - clean, comfortable matresses & beds with open footend (I am 2 Meters tall). The dorm & en suite bathroom is very clean. There is no guest kitchen available (pretty much a standard in Fiji) but they have a restaurant serving nice meals at OK prices. Smugglers has the most nightlife in the close-to-airport backpacker district - they have evening entertainment and drinks. Dorms are quiet though. Good place, recommended!

Aquarius is a nice place on the beach and good for 1 or 2 nights when you arrive in Nadi before you go to the Islands or other nice places in Fiji. Staff is very friendly, cheerful & helpful. We got great tour booking service by Donna who does the Travel Desk at Aquarius. The place is nice and qiet - if you want some entertainment & a few drinks, you can walk next door to Smugglers Cove for more action. Tip: Make sure not to book the 2 bed dorm (or "twin" room). It is small. Better: 6bed dorm!

Taupo Urban Retreat

Taupo Urban Retreat is just like a hostel should be like! (and we have been to many...) There is a bar (with good prices) and nice common area, easy to meet other travellers. The rooms are quiet so you get good sleep. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Big Plus: you can buy Wifi for 4$ you get 24h unlimited bandwitdh! Best deal in NZ so far... Tip: if you wanna do bungy jumping, make sure to take a look at Taupo bungy jumping! Excellent...

The rooms are OK and value is satisfactory. The Hostel is an ex Motel - so the athmosphere is a bittle less social as in other hotels, as the common rooms are a bit improvised. Wifi is only available at reception and kitchen. NOT in the room! All in all they do OK - but we found the staff to be not very friendly: they would not let us just stay 3 more ours in the common room after checkout to wait for our bus. We had to leave the premises or pay another night.

Bellavista Hostel

Santiago, Chile

The Bellavista Hostel is nicely located in the middle of the action in Bellavista. It has some quiet rooms if you ask for it. It has everything a hostel should have - we would definitely go there again! We had a double bed room in the building next to the main building. 2nd floor facing the backyard - it was nice and quiet there. Only drawback: breakast was a little bit more basic than normal.

Very nice Hostel, best possible location in Miraflores: close to Parque Kennedy - the center of it all, but in a relatively quiet side street. The Hostel concept ist recycling and they do it with a lot of charme - nice decoration of dorms and common rooms. The staff is very helpful and nice. Good breakfast. What else do you need? Best hostel in Perú we've been to.

We were surprised most about how reality turned out as compared to the Hostelworld.com review points. We got a twin room the first night which was a) damp (smell of mould) b) dark. Quite horrible. It is room Number 2, definitely avoid that one! Luckily we were able to change room the next day to a better one. There are only 2 showers available for all guestes - not enough. Location is a little bit far from Miraflores center - 20 mins walk. There are better Hostels in Lima available!

We enjoyed our stay at Posada del Rio - it is very conveniently located in a safe area of Cuenca, very close to restaurants and bar life. The hotel offers excellent value for the money - we would definitely recommend staying here. Only little drawback: the quality of the mattress was a little bit low

The Hostel is in a quiet street with good proximity of Metro and busses. The neighborhood itself is quiet and has only a few restaurants / bars. A big Exito supermarket is very close. The staff is very friendly and they have a good bar with good prices. Good athmosphere in the evening.

El Viajero Cartagena Hostel

Cartagena, Colombia

The hoste is nicely located and has good facilities, good security and athmosphere. We did not miss much! We'd definitely recommend El Viajaero and would come back again. The only drawback: the music was really loud in the patio - which meant we could hear it in any room - until midnight. The hostel staff was strict about the party to end at midnight, so if you are ok with not sleeping before 24h you will love this hostel.

Che Lagarto Suites Ilha Grande

Ilha Grande, Brazil
74%

Location & Hostel are good. The rooms in the 1st floor are nice and good value. The rooms on ground level can be noisy - as breakfast and common area are situated just in front of the ground level rooms. So it is recommended to ask for a room on first floor. The only drawback in the hostel: dhe kitchen is very small, not very clean and poorly equipped. It is ok to cook up some pasta, but if you really want to cook often, maybe consider another hostel. Supermarkets are in 10 mins walking distance

Iguazu Falls Hostel

Puerto Iguazu, Argentina
77%

Nice Hostel, good location. Big plus is the swimming pool, which is handy after a day of exploring the falls. The pool is cleaned daily... All is very clean. The kitchen is a bit small though, therefore we can only give "average" points. Location is excellent, close to bus terminal, restaurant and not too far from the center. Which in fact you dont need if the main reason for your stay is the falls. Then you really only need to walk to the bus terminal to catch the busess
