Skanstulls Hostel

Super clean. we stayed in an 8 bed dorm. Very expensive for what you get but we found this to be the case with a lot of things in Sweden! The dorm was very small. No space to put your bags. Bunks are very close together. Awesome kitchen. Atmosphere was pretty average. Staff were lovely. Extra charge for sheets!!

we stayed during Oktoberfest so prices were high. 6 bed dorm was spacious. little balcony which was nice. rooms were clean. beds comfy. Bathrooms were basic and toilets were quite gross in the evenings (probably due to all the people returning from the festival). perfect for what we needed as we hardly spent any time there. downfalls are they make you pay for wifi and leave a 50 euro deposit for the room key!

B&B Villa Melchiorre

This B&B is in a bit of a sketchy part of town. We only stayed one night whilst we were in transit. Just felt like a bit of a sleezy hotel. Bathrooms were old but clean enough. ok for one night only.

Really cool hostel. Great bar area. Off the main island but easy enough to get the water bus across. Pretty expensive like most things in Venice. Really comfy beds. Shared bathrooms are not for anyone too shy... there is no privacy in the showers.

10/10 for location. more like a 10-15 minute walk from the closest train station with luggage but easily doable & easy to find. rooms were neat. The double bed is 2 singles pushed together but we've found this to be quite common in Italy. The shower is basic. no basin, mirror or anywhere to hang your towel in the shower room & the toilet is separate. Ok for a short stay though. Staff were really helpful. one young lady at the reception that was so helpful. even calling trainlines to help us book

Soggiorno Primavera

Staff were really lovely and welcoming. We ended up staying 2 nights instead of one. room was large. little balcony off triple room. bathrooms were clean. breakfast not included. nowhere to really cook either so you need to eat out most meals. close to the train station but about a 10-15min walk to the centre of florence. No real atmosphere. Not really a place if you're looking to meet other travellers. overall a positive experience. Thanks M & M

we stayed one night only. beautiful view of the ocean from the terrace but we arrived late at night and you have to walk down a few dodgy dark alley ways to find it. we moved after the first night simply to be closer to the centre. Breakfast was amazing!! rooms are clean. no air con or fans so was hot as we visited in august. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful little Riad. The dipping pool was a god send as we visited in August and Marrakech was extremely hot! Air conditioned rooms was also a great plus. Breakfast was really great. Roof top terrace is amazing. Staff were really friendly and greeted us with mint tea on arrival. About a 15 minute walk to the main square but was kind of nice to get out of the busier area at the end of the day. Would stay again. Thanks Yassine :)

Hostel Caza de Sao Goncalo

Lagos, Portugal

Value for money compared with other hostels in Portugal is quite poor. Rooms felt quite dirty. Bed was really old & not very comfortable. Hot room with no fan. Common kitchen is sufficient but also quite messy. Great outside common area but no real social activities organised by the hostel. Female employee really helpful during the day & very friendly. Male employee quite hostile with our group when returning to the hostel late at night making us feel awkward. Ok but wouldn't stay again.

Rossio Hostel

Great hostel and value for money. Rooms are really clean. Our private double room was really big, had a very comfy bed and an amazing view of the town square and surrounding city. Two bathrooms shared between 3 double rooms was really good also. Amazing free breakfast that is cooked fresh each morning (eggs or crepes). Great location. The staff were always helpful. The hostel lacked a little atmosphere, not really a party hostel but the facilities are really great.

Oporto Invictus Hostel

Porto, Portugal

Invictus was one of the best Hostels we've stayed at during our Euro Trip. The facilities were perfect & very clean. We shared a private double room with ensuite & it was so comfortable. The kitchen area is really great with an amazing view over Porto - especially at sunset! The lounge area feels like you are in your own home. The best thing is the staff. The nicest we've ever met! A very special mention to Jose. You really are the most welcoming & friendly host! Thankyou so much. We'll be back!

Staff were great. The 6 bed dorm was quite small. Not much room for backpacks when full. Clean. Nice common area. Only stayed one night but overall was a good experience.

NS Hostel & Suites

We stayed in a private double room with ensuite. Rooms were clean. The breakfast is included and the best we've had at any hostel. We cancelled our second night as there was not much happening in Coimbra. At first the manager was not going to refund our money, after some discussion she agreed to give us a portion of our money back. Overall a nice experience.

As a couple we shared a twin room with private bathroom. Very basic compared to other hostels for what you pay. Very little air ventilation, no fan. One small free standing air con that barely worked making the room very hot and hard to sleep. No breakfast included. The staff were super nice. Lots of great tips on what to do around the city. More suited for very young groups.

We had an amazing private double room on the top floor with private balcony and bathroom. The lady at the desk told us we had the best room (I think she was right). The room was very clean. Staff were super helpful. One particular lady recommended some great cheap restaurants to eat and another was very helpful printing our flight itineraries for us. The atmosphere of the hostel wasn't great. Breakfast for 5 euro was simple but ok. Location is good, very close to the train/bus station.
