Our hostess Giulia was absolutely fantastic. She picked us up from the train station, took us in and really made us feel like her guests. Always really friendly and happy to help with anything. The building is only about a year old, so everything is very new and modern. Excellent facilities, spacious room, comfortable bed. We had a fantastic time. It's about a 15-20 minute train ride into London, but it is definitely worth it. Would definitely stay here again.

Kipps Hostel Canterbury

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, whether long or short term. Comfortable rooms, spacious kitchen, extremely friendly and helpful staff, free wifi throughout the hostel, in house laundry service, nightly activities. There is so much that is great about this place that it is hard to list it all. My favourite hostel in the UK by far. It is also only a 5 minute walk to Canterbury East rail station and 10 min. walk to the bus terminal. The hostel is great on its own, but the staff make it amazing!

Dover Backpackers

It wasn't so much a backpackers hostel as a couple of rooms above a pub. The rooms were nice enough; quite spacious and ours had a large ensuite bathroom, but the room had not been dusted or vacuumed in some time. The sheets were stained and threadbare. The staff were friendly enough, and more than happy to help out with any concerns.

The breakfast server/housekeeper Michelle was absolutely amazing. Super friendly, great to talk to and she made little animals out of the towels she left on the bed. Really made us feel like guests and not just paying customers, in contrast to the girl at reception, who was polite, but not particularly friendly. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but not too bad. The breakfast was simple, but good. Good security; front door requires a key, as do the rooms. Not too far from Victoria station.

Smart Hyde Park View

Free continental breakfast, but no access to kitchen to store your own food or make other meals. Limited storage space for luggage in the rooms; you need to pay to use the underbed lockers. Good location; close to several tube stations and Queensway rd, which has many shops & restaurants. 6 bed dorms have their own ensuite bathroom, which was rather convenient. Overall, probably best value for money in the area, but the lack of a kitchen is really quite annoying.

Only a couple of little gripes; overall it was good value for money. The only lockable storage in the room are underbed drawers that you need to pay for if you want to use them. The only showers are on the basement level, and you can't adjust the temperature of the water, which can be quite annoying if it is near boiling. There are a lot of showers though, so you'll never have to wait. The dining area/common room had lots of space. This is also where the wifi was best; it was quite slow in-room.

Thank you for review. We are pleased that you have enjoyed your stay with us. We try to offer cheap accommodation for low budget travelers at very good location, the prices we offer do not include lockers charges and towels as most of our customers do not need to use them therefore they do not end up paying for things they do not need.

I enjoyed my time here. The hostel is only a few minutes from the raliway station, and a 5 or 10 minute walk into town. Friendly, efficient staff, good kitchen facilities, a couple of common lounge areas to relax in. Probably my only complaint is there are no lockers in the room. Overall, a good place to stay.

Astor Museum Inn

Overall, not too bad. The staff acted like they didn't want to work there, always trying to pass on work to someone else or complaining about the work they were doing. Only one electrical outlet per room, could be easily fixed with a power board. Kitchen facilities were small, but functional. Metal frame beds are quite squeaky, and in my room almost half of the luggage cages underneath the beds were incapable of being locked. Quite a lot of space in the rooms though, even when full.
