Mata (the owner of the house) was an awesome lady who was not only amicable, and also very helpful towards our queries, needs and advises on where to go, what to do and where to eat. Moreover, when i got locked out of my room, she was nice to let me use another bathroom in the meanwhile. Value for for money for a prime location in Florence. Even though the wifi is down recently, she was kind enough to give us suggestions and free wifi areas near the hostel. In all, we had a pleasant stay.
The hostel was situated very near the train station, but kinda far away from the main attractions. Nevertheless, attractions were still within walking distance and the hostel was generally very clean due to the "lock out" timings (implies that all customers are expected to be out during that period) imposed for cleaning etc. On the whole, the breakfast was decent and the hostel staff were generally amiable except for the male staff. On the whole, it was a pleasant stay for us.
the staff didn't allow us to cancel out bookings even though we had informed them a couple of days prior to the check in date. eventually after much explanation, the staff was kind enough to accept our reasons. Location is pretty convenient for those who wish to visit the raito bridge and st.marc's area.
Absolutely value for money if you are looking for a budget trip to venice. The camp site had wifi near the reception area, as well as a mini mart and sales of bus tickets to venice island. Even though the carriage houses were rather old, it was generally quite clean. Mosquitoes can be a problem, but can be avoided by shutting the windows tight. (dun worry they have a ventilator and it's rather cold at night). In all, it was a satisfactory stay at the camping site that provides hot water showers.
More wifi bandwidth and coverage needed
