Great location if you want to stay in Hollywood. The manager is welcoming. Supermarket across the road and Hollywood and highland metro stop nearby. Bring earplugs due to location. Free breakfast of bread and spreads is always handy. Small kitchen if you need to cook, tv room and outside space, small lockers available in the hallway, bring a padlock. Rooms are a bit dingy but saying that it is the same with the majority of American hostels, or if you're used to Australian hostels you'll be fine.

Handy location, very near the metro and easy to find if you follow the directions given. Rooms are spacious, own light and socket, small locker, bring a padlock. Very clean, only a few bathrooms per floor but they were never too busy so no problems at all. Staff are helpful, kitchen if you need it, and lounge while a bit small is ok. Free breakfast of toast, eggs and spreads. Easy to walk to nearby areas such as Asakusa, and Asakusabashi has a direct run to the airport via the toei. Recommended!

Angelie Hotel

Nice hotel, everything seems quite new. Good facilities in the room, good location for Jiuzhaigou national park, about a five minute walk down the road. Helpful staff, decent food if you eat there. The building just seems to be a bit cold, otherwise a nice place to stay, comfortable beds after a day of walking. Recommended. If you fly you can get a bus from the airport to jiuzhaigou but you can't get one from there to the airport.

Great location very near the train station and within walking distance of circular quay (maybe 20 mins walk), kings cross etc, or you can pick up the free city bus nearby. Dorms are practically always left open, no free lockers, cleanliness is ok it is just dingy but that's the same as most Australian hostels. Some free meals and good kitchen facilities. Surprised the ratings are so bad, seemed fine to me.
