Washrooms and showers very clean and never had to line up. Kitchen available for use (except for breakfast time). Great wifi. Big storage bunks under the beds and even lend you padlocks. Right at the bottom of the prague castle. 20 min walk to old town, but everything was within walking distance. Quick public transport to/from train/bus stations.
Great value for money! Big personal lockers in the rooms. Large common area and full kitchen. Highly recommend. The facilities were great, but the staff weren't too involved, but there was still good brochures/maps/info at the front desk.
The hostel is very far from the city centre and all the major attractions - about 40 min lube ride and another 10 min bus ride / 25 min walk form the station to the hostel. There is not much to do around the hostel itself. It's a bar on the main floor with the hostel on the second and third floor. There wasn't much of a hostel feel since the reception/staff is primarily manning the bar. Yes, it was a lot cheaper than the hostels downtown, but daily transport is not cheap.
very clean hostel - stayed in the seperate apartment where you go outside and upstairs. the building with the reception looked a bit older but i've never been in any of the dorms. excellent, big, and clean washrooms and shower. had big shelves for backpacker sized bags but no lock.
very friendly staff. close to station. traditional old Japanese house. didn't lock house in evening and no lock to bedroom
oak hostel and oak hotel are the same place. don't be confused.
