Good place. Small breakfast, room doors that are like a vault door (your stuff is protected in the room). Tours are not provided unless there are a large group of people.
Our room was under renovation so we were moved to a different room which was valued lower and did not receive the lower price after asking. The bathrooms were very dirty while we were there and one of the 2 bathrooms constantly smelled like an outhouse. Breakfast was bought at a bakery and usually an hour late.
Great value with free breakfast AND dinner. They also offer a day trip to the Rila monastery so most things you need, the hostel can provide. Be aware that private dorms are about an 8 minute walk away in apartments. This is not an issue if you don't mind the walk. We did not find it to be an issue and is actually much quieter if that's what you're looking for.
Awesome staff, remembered us when we came back for a second stay. Clean hostel in a convenient location and has A/C which is great after a 10 hour train ride with no A/C and everyone is sweating heavily!
Not a bad place. Could use a/c and the "kitchen" consists of a single hot plate and a microwave. Not a place where people mingle and the staff will help you but tend to avoid conversation. Nice location minus the big hill you have to walk up and down everytime you go there.
Miran is one of the most genuinely nice people you will ever meet and he will treat you as family. His tour is the best tour you can take an is worth every mark! Give the city more than one day to get a propper experience. Mirans hostel is great and he often serves hot Bosnian coffee in the mornings. His cousin is also a great guy to meet! ...I guess his whole family probably is! Go travel this beautiful country and stay with these beautiful people!
Nice place, could use air conditioning in summer and quite far from the old town. Overall nice place with nice people though for a decent price!
Very nice people and nice accomodations. Within a 20-30 minute walk of the park entrance. Only downside is that by booking on hostelworld you get a lower price which does not include breakfast. But it was still very nice and we just went to the grocery store just 5 minutes away!
Nice place to stay for a night or two!
Very friendly and helpful staff and the wifi ACTUALLY works! Definitely recommend this place of you plan to spend the night in San Gimignano! It's also a very reasonable price compared to a typical hotel!
Great place if you're on a budget.
Great clean private place with somewhat of a kitchen. Owner was very nice even though he knows little english. Worst part is finding the place because it tells you to go to an office and ask for Sara... there is no Sarah and you will likely go to a hostel with the same address first. The hostel receptionist helped us out a lot and got it figured out! You are right on the main street and you will get plenty of exercise walking up and down from your apartment and walking in the city! Enjoy!
Great place to stay if you're looking for a nice quiet private room.
Not bad but make sure you bring your booking information if you book through hostelworld...your passport is not enough apparently!
Very helpful staff and the rooms have A/C. Very important when it's 40 degrees celsius outside!
Awesome place, very home-like, very helpful staff. Kitchen is well equipped too (very important for the low budget traveller). Loved the free food shelf!
We had ants in our room (lots of them) and the door lets water in when it rains. Showering costs €2 per person per night. Haf to walk outside to washroom, not bad if its not raining.
Best selection of free spices and such in the kitchen compared to any other hostel we have stayed in! Also, the games room was actually free! The beds are comfy and the staff are very nice, helpful and friendly! Very short stay but we would definitely recommend it to others!
Great value if you just need a place to relax and sleep! It was a nice break from shared dorms for a young couple and costs just as much as a shared somewhere else for a private! The ensuite was also a nice feature!
The best security feature here is the 120 stairs to the 4th floor! As rough as they are they got us into good shape and kept all the plundering and pillaging out! Other than that, this place is quite nice and in a pretty good location. You definitely need to use local transport unless you plan on walking 30-45 minutes between each sight. One last thing, very close to some major museums and most museums in London are free, so check them out!
Don't expect much when you go here. We had a 4 bed dorm but it was within another 10 bed dorm. You have to walk through one dorm to get to it. The showers are pull chain so you only have one hand to shower (no big deal, just a warning) and the showers are co-ed and not very private (for those of you who are shy). Overall pretty good though, biggest problem was wifi not working well at all and often cutting out completely.
Awesome place to stay when in Amsterdam! Small rooms but who cares, you're there to sleep! Captain Dave and Anni are very nice, friendly and hospitable young people!
Could use more accessories in the kitchen, especially oven mitts! Over all not bad at all! The kitchen only has a single stove/oven and if more than a few people are cooking there is no room to prep your food! And of course the fridge stunk because someone left an old sausage in there...seems to be a staple of hostel fridges lately!
Needs a kitchen and needs to drop the price of breakfast! The breakfast is like any other continental breakfast which is often free at other hostels for the same thing. Location was convenient and the hostel is easy to find.
