The hostel is about a 20 minute walk from the Royal Mile which is where the free walking tours begin, bus tours depart, and the pub crawl takes place. It's not a bad distance and you walk past the castle and through the garden in the meantime. A few of the girls complained about cold showers on the third floor, but the second floor's were perfectly hot. Everything was very clean, the bar/lounge area was a nice addition, and the breakfast was filling (cereal, toast, juice/coffee/tea). Nice place.
We stayed in Eindhoven to catch an early flight the next morning. I was really skeptical about the place because it's a tiny little house with two additional containers for housing guests. The bathroom and our container were rather dirty (hair on bed), but the paintings were interesting and we were able to use the kitchen. It's located close to the train station and the super market. Just don't go into it expecting it to be anything like a hostel, hotel, or any other place you have stayed.

We had the worst time trying to find this hostel. Most of it was our fault, but even once we made it to the street, it was very difficult to find. The signage was poorly lit and very small, so we literally walked passed the hostel without even knowing it. Other than that though, the breakfast was better here than other hostels we've stayed at and the added feature of having personal storage cages underneath the beds was great.
Compared to other hostels we have stayed at, the atmosphere was great. The common room downstairs is super nice! It was also nice being handed sheets and bedding when we walked in, because we knew they were freshly washed.
