Short walk from main attractions. Beds were comfy enough but the bed sheets provided were a tad small for the beds which made it hard to make the bed. The showers also were less than ideal as you had to keep pressing the button every 30 seconds. Also the shower doors were borderline see through pretty much forcing girls who stayed in mixed dorms to shower in the girls bathroom downstairs. However the Kitchen was nice and breakfast was better than most hostels.
Large kitchen was good. Not nearly enough plugs in the rooms and wish the WiFi extended to the other floors. Locks on the doors were a bit sketchy and with no lockers in the room your stuff was rather unprotected. However the staff was great as well as the location.
The location was great but the instructions on how to get there were a bit hard to follow. Beds were super creaky, but there plugs for each bed. Breakfast was good too.
The floors could do with some nails in them as they are super creaky. And it would have been nice to have some paper towels in the bathroom. But the location and staff were fantastic.
The atmosphere was pretty chill, rooms were clean. Wish the staff had been a bit more on top of the communal bathroom as the soap was out for a few days.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel. Don't be scared off by the bar on the main floor, you can't hear it in any of the rooms. :)
The atmosphere and character can be described in one way, scattered. However the beds were comfy and bedrooms clean. Probably will splurge for a hotel the next time I am in Annecy though.
It's a very large hostel, that takes on school groups. Be prepared at the end of the day for bus loads of students running around. However, there breakfast is great and they have a good soup and salad deal at dinner. Also the staff is really friendly. :)
It wasn't too far from the city centre, anyways it's worth giving up a little location to stay on a boat. Staff was helpful and friendly and I had a wonderful stay there.
