Backpackers Inn on the Beach, Byron Bay, Australia

Absolutely love this hostel. Firstly location is perfect, directly on the beach and literally a two minute walk to town. The rooms were well spaced, though it was a little cold at night. Facilities were brilliant, free wifi (though whether that would apply in the peak season I don't know) really good kitchen and free bikes. Staff were brilliant, nothin too small, friendly and accommodating. Just great

Really nice little hostel, two mins away from bus stop but they will still pick you up. Rooms are nice, wifi is cheap and actually quite fast. Lots of recommendations from the staff and they are also very helpful. The best bit is the view which is lovely in the morning eating breakfast. Pool and hammocks a nice touch and the atmosphere is pretty nice. I stayed another night at another hostel which was cheaper but I should have stayed at backpackers at the bay again so def recommend

Really lovely hostel with really friendly staff, so well located and try will pick you up in the rain even though the bus stop is literally one minute away. Free tours and walks are a nice feature and free tea and coffee are always welcome. Tv room is good and the wifi is good value, they give you free wifi for a couple days which will last you if you keep logging out. Not much to do but sky diving which is amazing!

A really good hostel, which is actually more like a resort, it's huge. Very clean, wifi is cheap, you can party if you want to Party and if you don't it's quiet enough to sleep and no one pressures you to go out. Good local and staff really good, kitchen great and the deals they have on for drinks and food are brill. Even for a non drinker! Up there for the best hostel I've stayed in

Base Brisbane - Central, Brisbane, Australia

2nd Aug 2014

I did not like the stay, though cleaners were about and they had an hour and half to clean kitchen, it felt dirty. The theft of food is out of control, the atmosphere is terrible, the price of Internet for 24hrs is good, and the gym pass is excellent. However I'm currently at base uptown and whilst it's slightly out, the atmosphere is much better as is the cleanliness and atmosphere. Pity about central

Urban Central, Melbourne, Australia

this is a good hostel, the facilities like the kitchen are good and as a backpacker you can get a special 10 dollar discount at the local gym which I loved. But I felt the atmosphere was poor, it's so big you can't really get talking to orher travellers and there are a lot of long terms. The wifi is incredibly expensive, go to MACCYS over the road or starbs. There is a really good community like the dinners prepared by Mary but it doesn't stretch beyond tht. Abit indifferent to this hostel

Thank you for your review, I am glad you liked the once of many discounts we can get our guests whilst they are visiting Melbourne! Yes Mary’s cooking is legendary! We have noted your comments in regards to Wi-Fi and looking into the possibility of providing it for free so watch this space!

Bounce Sydney, Sydney, Australia

I love bounce. So clean, people are nice, rooms are massive and the kitchen is huge and really well equipped. Met some great people and the staff are really friendly as well. Beds are comfy and it is really central, 10-15min walk pretty much anywhere that you will want to go like the opera house. I don't like paying for wifi but I appreciate that mostly you do in Australia and there is a Gloria jeans coffee house literally 5mins down the road. Would stay again and again

Only stayed here for two nights, and it was nice, chilled and pleasant. A little quiet perhaps but the staff are always milling around and can't do enough for you really. Breakfast is basic but fruit is always a nice addition to the obligatory bread. Proper brown bread though!

We only stayed for one night so not really enough to soak up the atmosphere, however it seemed very nice, the breakfast was good with fruit and the obligatory bread. Kitchen use was nice if a little cramped. Beds were very comfy and two pillows is like heaven! So nice all in all

Nothing to complain about with this hostel, we only stopped one night so can't really comment. However the kitchen use was appreciate and the staff were really helpful. They let us keep out stuff at the hostel, have a shower and cook food for the bus journey, until about 9 at night (virtually stopping for another night) without charging. Small and clearly not a party hostel, the location is still good and the atmosphere pleasant.

I really like it here, the beds are amazing. Two pillows and a real duvet?? Yes thank you. It is party without being too party and the noise isn't bad at night. Wifi is pretty good too. Location is excellent and you feel really safe there as well. Been twice in about two weeks so definitely worth it. People can be insensitive but the hostel is great. Free tea etc and kitchen is brill but the good isn't badly priced either. Would definitely recommend

Hostel Rosario Inn, Rosario, Argentina
7.1
20th Feb 2013

It was a nice hostel but when I was there really quiet which made me check out into another hostel which had a brilliant atmosphere. Don't think it was Rosario inns fault, just the way it goes but it did have a lack of character and I think even if it had been busy it still would have been a bit dull. The staff were nice, wifi had a good coverage, breakfast was nice (south american obv) but when it's dead, it's really dead.
